Default My first day of Phase one meal plan.

Today I had for breakfast: south beach egg cups with zucchini, Canadian ham, and green pepper in them and a v8 low sodium
At 10:30 I got hungry again so I had a sugar free jello and a cheese stick

Lunch I had a diet coke and some "Mexican chicken" (as my mom calls it), which is chicken, eggplant, tomatoes, onions, a little bit of low fat cheese etc, with a few eggs to hold it all together.

At like 2 pm I got a venti skinny vanilla latte (from Starbucks) to help avoid my afternoon "snack machine" cravings.

5 pm: I am planning to eat 1/4 of a cup of dry unsalted peanuts.

after I come home from cross fit I have this yummy cabbage soup (south beach phase 1 friendly) that my mom made me.

Looking at this do you see anything I could improve on or remove to make my weight loss happen for me?
I dont feel hungry at all or feel any cravings, so far so good!
Thanks for the help!

Well, I would say eat some beans, but I know the answer to that one already. Also try not to overdo the artificial sweeteners. You could probably use a little more dairy, maybe have some milk or yogurt tonight too. You'll probably need it after your workout. Are you drinking enough water? But I think you're doing great overall!

Hey, where did you get 1/4 cup of peanuts from? That seems like a lot. I don't have my book anymore because YOU have it, but I though it was 20 or 30 peanuts in a serving.

Does the cabbage soup have protein with it? Just veggies won't hold you. You need protein with all your meals. Agree you should count the nuts. Easy to overdo. And also agree with adding beans. They're very filling and help with constipation.

Woooo! another day-1-er. Good going. It's been about a year and a half since I last tried & failed (after about 2 weeks) with SB, but for some reason I just woke up this morning and decided to stop with the carbs. And then I found my way back to 3FC, so yeah, I guess it's official now.

I'm also using Weight Watchers eTools, and I came in today 2 points under my daily allotment, and I'm pretty full (although tired in the afternoon...stressful day)

B - 1 egg & 2 egg whites, 2Tbsp mozzarella, 1/4 an avocado; coffee & skim

S - 1/2 c fat free cottage cheese, 1 banana (OK I guess this isn't P1-friendly but I wasn't thinking about SB yet at this point. Personally I'm iffy about avoiding fruit, not to ruffle any of the purists' feathers)

L - 3oz roasted chicken breast; lots of lettuce; 1Tbsp honey mustard (homemade) dressing; 1Tbsp reduced-fat sour cream

S - 2Tbsp peanut butter; 3 celery stalks; a couple of raisins (ants on a stick!! forgot about this snack, yum); hot tea (plain "passion") from Sbux

D - 4oz tilapia marinated & pan fried in olive oil, chili powder, lime juice; lots of lettuce; 1/2 c black beans; 1/2 c frozen corn; salsa, 2Tbsp RF sour cream

YUMMY. I'm motivated to actually plan my meals tomorrow. The fridge is bare though...gotta load up on SB foods at the market!!

I'm worried about cholesterol...but low-fat, high-carb was not doing my any favors, so I'm giving this a shot.

Yep, that's her. No more *****ing about DD1 on 3fc
She's very motivated though, I'm impressed.
And by the way, congratulations on reaching your goal. Way to go!

LOL. A boring forum this will be.

I'm thinking the same thing, Cyndi. Maybe some sort of arrangement could be made.

Starting Phase 1 today! Didn't want to do it but it's overdue. Sugar addiction must be wrestled to the ground.
