Congratulations! I'll bet you're feeling relief!

I find the low carb method the easiest plan to follow, and I feel the best throughout the day on it. The hardest part for me is when I am eating with others or don't plan ahead. But I find LOTS of foods to enjoy in satisfying portions.

There are many good threads to follow on the site concerning low carb eating and lots of supportive members in general.

Good luck!

That is great, Liliann! Way to go!! Some people are afraid to step outside of the comfort of something they know, but isn't working for them... That was me with Weight Watchers for five years. But at the beginning of the year I decided SOMETHING had to change, and here I am, happy as ever! This is amazing, I only wish I had started sooner!

I was a calorie counter for forty years! In fact, I still keep an eye on calories (I can't help myself!) but carbs are my primary limit now. It's only been a few weeks, but so far so good! I am hopeful that this WOE will work better for me.

HUH? Are you seriously saying that you've lost 34 lbs in 14 days? How is that humanly possible? Was that a typo, or really really you lost 34 lbs in TWO weeks?

People with more weight to lose see larger initial drops in weight. Low-carb also has a strong diuretic effect, so a lot of the lbs we lose initially are water.

Liliann, hope you are still doing well on your plan!

Right, I get that...bot HolyWo! 34 lbs is really alot!

I am waffling right now on which plan I want to do so I have been poking around on these forums all afternoon. I have had success before with both Atkins and CALP; but I DO want to lose the most amount possible in a period of about 20 wks (for an event). That is why I am leaning towards Atkins induction at the moment.

Some people lose only modest amounts of weight on Induction... depends how high your carb intake was before starting. If you were already carb-controlled, you won't see as big of a woosh, I think. And even then sometimes people don't see great Induction losses, but have great ongoing success on the OWL phase. If you can stick to very low-carb diets, they will get you there... but you have to commit! Good luck with whatever route you choose

We'd love to have you at the primal/paleo thread! Good luck with whatever you decide.
