Default Phase II Problems

I started phase II on Sunday and I hardly feel like I'm on a diet anymore! I'm really worried that I'm eating the wrong things. I know I'm supposed to be eating one start and one fruit a day but I'm not sure if I'm counting certain foods as starches. For example in the book it indicates that you should count things such as green peas and sweet potatoes as your daily starch. So should I be counting my cereal and oatmeal as a starch too??? Or does it go under the whole grain category???? HELP I'm so confused

All grains count as starches. Why not post a menu so we can give you some feedback?

Ohh no I've been eating so wrong! For breakfast I've been eating a cup of cheerios and half a cup of milk. Lunch I had half a bagel. And dinner I had half a cup of spaghetti (whole wheat noodles and extra lean ground beef) with a baked pork chop! I've had far too many starches

Definitely too many starches so soon. Check out the Emergency Handbook for Phase 2 that should help answer your questions. For now I'd just go right back to basics and watch for cravings. You might see a bump on the scale but it will be temporary if you jump back on plan. Good thing you asked when you did

Check the Phase II food list too. Remember a bagel should be whole grain and small when you do have one (not the huge ones most places sell).
