How often do you do it? I can't help but do it every day hehe!
Also has anyone ever used those scales where they are crazy accurate, I don't know what they are called exactly, like micro scales?! but I've read on different weight loss articles that they are really good as normal scales won't tell you if you've lost that tiny bit of weight whereas these do.
But then I wonder if its pointless as we all fluctuate depending on what we're wearing or whether we've gone to the toilet surely?!
I weigh myself most days, although I'll skip some - I missed it this morning. I only keep a record of my weight weekly though. I weigh myself first thing in the morning on Tanita scales which have been going strong for a decade. The disadvantage of them is that they only weigh in 1lb increments over 11st and my weight is over that, but I can live without knowing the half pound fluctuations. I would probably dislike the micro-scales as I don't want to start getting fixated on some tiny fraction of a lb.
I would go nuts if I used a scale that measured in increments so small that it could detect whether I'd plucked my eyebrows that day. No micro-scale for me, please!
I weigh daily, but I don't sweat it too much if there's some minor fluctuation. In fact, I think it's kind of cool that I can "see" the water weight my body hangs onto after I've lifted weights, then watch it disappear the next morning. It used to be a source of anxiety, but I've come to terms with minor variations; the human body's so complex, of course we don't lose weight in mathematically precise ways like dry ice sublimating at a predictable and constant rate.
Just purchased some Salter scales today, digital ones! I used to weigh myself every bally day, like some of you. But it just drove me nuts in the end. Once a week is fine for me!
I weigh myself every day unless I'm away from home or very rushed for time.
My scale measures weight to 0.2 lb. I like the precision, and don't usually find much fluctuation from day to day during plateaus. What minor fluctuations there are I don't worry about as long as I know I'm doing what I have to do to lose the weight.
I weigh myself every day. I have tried once a week but I find myself 'cheating' as I'm not as accountable and then getting depressed when I haven't lost.
I know I'm only cheating myself but it really works for me to weigh every day - and my scales measure in 0.1 lb increments!
Sometimes when you've lost 0.6 in a week, it's better to know and be happy than think you haven't lost anything because you might have gone from 145.8 to 145.2,which wouldn't necessarily show on normal scales.
Once a week, Saturday morning first thing, post-wee, pre-food! Although I did cheat and do it earlier last week, but it only counts as recordable on Saturdays!
Once a week, at my slimming world class. I do have scales at home but they read different to the slimming world class ones so I don't bother going by them!
I also weigh in once a week at my Slimming World class.
It took a while but I have broken myself of the habit of getting on the scales every day, it was a sure fire way to send me to the biscuit tin if I had not lost from the day before - or horror of horrors gone up from the day before.
I weigh myself every time i go to the gym, so works out about 3 to 4 times a week. I used to weigh myself every day but have stopped that since my scales and the ones at gym vary by about 7lbs. Gonna invest in some better scales on next pay day
I do it in the morning before I've eaten anything... your body was just digesting for a good 10-12 hours, so it's a better view of what your actual weight is, without food just sitting in your gut. I'll either do it with my pajamas on, or right before I step into the shower.
