Default How much weight are you losing each week?

Everything I have read says you shouldn't lose more than a pound a week when you are nursing because off the potential of interrupting your milk supply. I'm wondering how much everyone is losing each week (or aiming to lose)?

I've just had my second child (5week old boy) and have resumed exercising and want to lose weight, I was aiming for 2lb a week because that was what my goal was before I got pregnant but thought I'd seek the advise of those doing it

My average is .8 a week and my LO is almost 6 mos. I think I lost faster than that in the beginning though .... maybe 1-1.5 a week?

If you want to lose more, I would suggest taking an herbal supplement for milk production stimulation. I have an herbal tincture I got at a natural foods store called "More Milk" or Traditional Medicinals makes a tea called Mother's Milk. Those both worked wonders while I was losing big and nursing lots.

Thinking I might be preggo again, though...

According to my graph I'm losing an average of 3 lbs per week with my milk supply unaffected. I'm doing WW and I get plenty to eat and, most importantly, plenty of water.

Wow Rachel, time sure flies! I can't believe your baby is already 5 months old! How's the nursing going? (I hope it's ok to ask that.)

Thanks everyone, I won't worry too much then. I just didn't want to mess with my milk supply

I started calorie counting when my DD was 5 months (almost 11 months now, still nursing quite happily) - and I lose between 2-3 pounds per week (I have a few 4 pound weeks in there too).
