Default Your Ultimate Kick Butt Hard Cardio Playlist

I have a playlist that I put on when I MEAN BUSINESS for my cardio. It is labeled on my iTunes, in fact, as "Mega Kicka** Cardio".

Mine has:

Defying Gravity - Glee Cast (for warmup)
Dynamite - Taio Cruz
Raise Your Glass - Pink
Indiana - Melissa Etheridge
We R Who We R - Ke$ha (I know, I have a fair amount of shame)
Phantom of the Opera - Me First and the Gimme Gimmes...(they do punk covers, this is off of their Broadway album...the only Broadway I can run to!)
Magic - B.o.B
Firework - Katy Perry
Science Fiction Double Feature - Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
Get Over It - The Eagles
Misery Business - this is an A Capella version from Best of College A Capella 2010
Yeah! - Usher
Thriller - Michael Jackson
Love the Way You Lie - Eminem feat. Rhianna (cool down)

Do you have a playlist like this? What's on it?

Ooo, I love yours. I'm going to pirate some of the songs.

I have several - my current favorite has a lot of Tina Turner & Destiny's Child. For some reason Nutbush City Limits & Bootylicious make me want to feel the burn.

Wow! I'm going to have to get some of those songs!

My list consists of:

Fergie - London bridges, fergiliciois
Beyonce- single ladies, diva, upgrade you, get me bodied, check up on it
Christina ag- candy man, still dirty, ain't no other man
Ray Charles- I got a woman, mess around, night time is the right time
Alicia keys- super woman, new york

I usually play them on shuffle, but if it's too slow when I'm jogging I skip to the next one! I like to keep pace with the beat of the music..lol!

Nice post! Gives me some ideas on new songs to change.

My playlist is called Runnin Jams

I like poppy-dance music for cardio. I always have Britney Spears' "Break the Ice" programmed for around the middle of my run. It always gets me going again when I start flagging and makes me push a bit hard. It's my favourite pick me up for cardio. But of course Gaga is also standard and other Britney songs too.

Heh.

The more sappy and bubblegum the song, the harder the Gimme Gimmes slam it.

Strangely enough, a lot of my songs are the same as yours, mandalinn. I should check out some of the Broadway covers, those are right up my alley.

Mine also has some Green Day (mostly from American Idiot).

21 Guns is a GREAT song for me to run to. Forgot about that one!

My favorite Gimme Gimmes song is their rendition of "Rainbow Connection". But I adore the entire Broadway album.

I also have the Bad Romance rendition they did on Glee. I used to have the Gaga version, but I think the Glee one has a bit more depth so I replaced it.

Also - Fire Burning - Sean Kingston

I have some of the same as above (Katy Perry, Beyonce); I also have some Mary J. Blige (try "Work That" - power to the ladies!) and random fun songs off movie soundtracks like "Shake your pom pom" (Missy Elliot - booty shaking time!).

My new addition to the running playlist is....The Darkness. I'll admit it. I crank me some British glam rock and boy my feet start flying. Try it! Put "I believe in a thing called love" on your playlist and get ready to book. "Crazy Train" is also good for this.

I have a few, depending on what musical mood I'm in. I'm all over the board with my tastes, so I never know what's going to motivate me.

I got a new iPod for Xmas, so I was super excited to put together some new playlists. This is what I worked out to this morning (and yes, this is the playlist of a 43-year old woman. Don't judge me! LOL):

Only Girl (In the World) - Rihanna
Smack That - Akon
Meet Me Halfway - Black Eyed Peas
Naughty Girls Need Love Too - Samantha Fox
U and Dat - E-40 w/ T. Pain
I Kissed a Girl - Katy Perry
Low - Flo Rida
My Love - Justin Timberlake
Butterfly - Crazy Town
Toxic - Britney Spears
Tonight I'm Loving (okay, so I have the dirty version, and it's so not "loving") You - Enrique Iglesias

For cooling down (I usually shuffle through this and pick one or two songs):
Crazy for You - Adele
Playground Love - Air
Golden Slumbers - Ben Folds
Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers
Better Be Home Soon - Crowded House
Delicate - Damien Rice
Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley
Love - John Lennon
The Weight of My Words - Kings of Convenience
Mad World - Michael Andrews
Turn Me On - Norah Jones
Street Spirit (Fade Out) - Radiohead
Glitter in the Air - Pink
Let It Be Me - Ray LaMontagne

Oh, and thank you guys for turning me on to the Gimme Gimmes -- awesome stuff!

My play list is called "Even Newer Than New Workout Music" (because it supplanted "Workout Music" and "New Workout Music"). It reflects my advanced age. ;-)

Big Time - Peter Gabriel
Your Love - Outfield ("Josie's on a vacation far away ...")
Sledgehammer - Peter Gabriel
Home by the Sea - Genesis
Dog Days Are Over - Florence & the Machine
Suffragette City - David Bowie
3 A.M. Eternal - The KLF
Sober - Pink
Disturbia - Rihanna
I Want Her - Keith Sweat
O.M.G. - Usher (The line "Honey got a booty like pow-pow-pow" inspires me)
Lust for Life - Iggy Pop
Hey Baby - No Doubt
I Don't Want to Be - Gavin DeGraw
Cars - Gary Neuman
Don't Stop Till You Get Enough - Michael Jackson

Cool down includes:

Soldier of Love - Sade
I'm So Into You - Sisters With Voices
Right Here - Sisters With Voices
Nothing on You - B.O.B.
