If you're willing to spend a little time in the kitchen, try this recipe from Ina Garten:
Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic. Modify the recipe by cooking the chicken with just olive oil, no butter; by adding two cups of stock in addition to the wine; and by leaving off the cognac and heavy cream. Trust me, the recipe doesn't suffer from omitting them; it's still
plenty good.
It seems like a TON of garlic, but it stews down and actually has a quite mild flavor. This is a go-to recipe for me whenever we have company over.
