5'4 and 164 pounds....
Ok, anyone else in and around this height/weight range? If so, how much did you lose your first two weeks? I am hoping 5 pounds is not unreasonable.

I'm exactly the same!!
Hi Mirahbai7 -
I am exactly that height and weight (as of official weigh in today
Wow!
Your 5lbs in two weeks is great.
I started my 1200 calorie plan on November 1 and lost 6 lbs - and that's for the whole month.
So you're doing good.

well howdy my southern neighbor!
Thanks for chiming in!
It is always nice to plot along with someone close to your stats. Although it is great sharing everyone's common journey.
It is a rainy day here in Arkansas!

Hey yeah! Southern Chicks on a mission!
I'm on the slow and easy plan.
I eat 1200 calories/day and walking (not as much as I should though).
I like to wait on working out really hard until I get my weight down a bit - around 140.
I'm hoping that doing it a little slower 1) I won't feel deprived and 2) it will stick this time. And hopefully will reset my body weight setpoint.
I'll be happy if 6lbs a month continues. I'll be at my goal in about 4-5 more months....seems like forever though huh?

No, it does not seem like forever. At this point, I have gained and gained and will be beyond thrilled to see the scale move in the opposite direction. I like your style with the slow and steady! Makes the most sense and seems to be the best way to maintain.
My birthday is Valentines Day and my mini goal in to drop 15 pounds in 12 weeks and that sounds actually kind of ambitious.

5 lbs. sounds decent, but don't be discouraged if that doesn't happen. typical is about 10% of the total weight to lose. just stick to the plan, do some moderate exercise and the weight WILL come off. You don't have that much to lose, so it will be slower than someone who has twice as much as you (60 lbs. ago, the weight was coming off a lot faster for me, now, it's a struggle to lose a few pounds). Just keep your morale high and keep telling yourself that this WILL work.

I just really am filled with appreciation and gratitude right now for this board. I am going to park myself here for a while, if that is ok. It feels like a safe harbor.
I simply have to make this work.
My biggest problem is losing a little and then losing this sense of urgency and motivation and slipping right back.
Thanks to all of you have managed to accomplish stability and constancy and have been able to sustain your efforts. Maybe some of that will rub off.

Hiya Mirabai,
We are very close in range and starting points. I started the journey on Saturday (11/27). Thought I chime in because I too was looking for someone with similar startings points as myself.
Wishing you much Success!

Mira, you may consider posting your daily menus in the "On Plan" thread. It really helps me stay on plan, and allows others to critique my daily menu if I ask for it.

I'm a little shorter than you and started SB @ 140#. I lost 8# in the first 2 weeks, then 3# more over the next 2. I was very impressed with SB and have stayed on it ever since. I've maintained my loss of 25# over the last 2 1/2 years.
