Ok what the heck happened to that other post, I leave for a little while and we moved up 3 posts. I'm still somewhere back on 304.

Anyway, I had a pretty good weekend. I rode my bike again. Yea! And I even went for a walk. It's amazing what a little sunshine will do to a person.

I can't wait til school starts again. All these kids do is fight!! Makes me angry. What will I do this summer?? I guess I will have to break down and get that pool they have been wanting, and then I will have leverage. Oh yaaaa.

Well I am not going to respond to everyone individually, but I do have one thing to say to the one who is returning after being gone awhil(yes I read some) anyway, don't be afraid to come here no matter what the circumstances, we all have had our victories and our downfalls. You just have to get through each day one day at a time, and what better place to be than here, with people who care about you. And these ladies really do care, they are here for you through thick and thin! (what a play on words) hehe. I haven't been here long but I feel so loved and welcome and they have gotten me through a tough day or two. So welcome and I hope you find it as supportive as I have.

Well ladies, I'm off to bed.

Hey ladies! I am in pain this am so took a fistful of Advil and have ICY HOT all over my shoulders and left hip and am praying for them to start working so I can go back to bed. I slept very little last night and am exhausted.

I had a horrible experience yesterday. I felt so wonderful yesterday morning and even commented to dh how great I felt. We went to breakfast and then out the commissary. My shoes, by the way, worked terrific for me. We were in line and checking out and I told Jack, "Man, it's hot in here." The weather cooled down drastically to the 40's so I had a sleeveless blue sweater under a pink fleece top so thought maybe it was that. Jack was freezing when we got into the car, but the car felt like it was 80 in there. I was sweating profusely so I took off my fleece top. It didn't help. I felt awful. God Bless him, dh though he was freezing, kicked the ac on to 69 degrees. It was so bad I thought I was going to faint. It finally subsided, but I have NEVER had a hot flash that bad before. So, this AM I have bad cramps and horrible muscle cramps. I sure would like to know if many pre-menopausal women have increased symptoms around the time of their cycle like I do.

To answer you question regarding OCD. My dr's opinion is that yes, I am, but like many people, mine is limited to a certain area. Like some people are compulsive hand washers, others go around checking locked doors etc. I am compulsive about cleaning and what that involves. Though he does not feel I need meds for this, (in other words, I am not THAT nuts!), I do have "exercises" so to speak I am supposed to do to help keep it under control. I tend to disregard the exercises most of the time unless dh brings to my attention that I am kind of getting out of control. I am also a hand wringer, but that is not compulsive, thank goodness. My diagnosis involves having the feeling of being judged all the time. Most of it goes back to the dysfunctional family I was part of etc. Anyway, there you have it, me and my nuttiness.

Sandy: My son is near 30 and doesn't know what Romper Room was so I thought maybe you didn't either! I am a superior poet though, don't you think!!!

Tina: I take it you didn't get to make the trip to TX this weekend? I think that is where Jack said they are racing. Do you go to the one in Michigan? I know that one is really popular and I think Taledaga (sp) is coming up too isn't it?

I should go back and try to sleep for awhile if I can. I am just beat.

You guys have a good day and CONGRAT to the losers and those staying OP and exercising.

Hey chicks,

2cute: you crack me up woman!!!

Donna: hope you are feeling better, not sure on the menapause thing? Maybe call the dr? Maybe it's something else? Stay healthy!! Bet the dr. would love to see you anyway, you have lost so much. What is the total now?

Deon, they sure have been chatty lately!!! I love it, cause I love to read every word they say. They keep me going.

It's raining here today so it seems really dreary! We are however going to my sils for a combined bday party for Evan, my mil and my bil (all their bdays were at the beginning of the month, but we havnt family celebrated them yet) Our family on dh's side is big on celebrating bdays together, I like it. So anyway my sil and I are making my mil a thing called broccolli lasagna (yummy) I will post the recipe later if I can find it. Then the guys don't like it so they are having homemade mac & cheese with sharp cheese and hotdogs I guess. And of course the big ole salad for me!!! And we are gonna watch the race at their house, cause hubby dosnt want to miss a single lap.

Hugs to all, everyone have a good day!!!
~Sandy~

Good Morning tootsies...

It's a drizzly, dreary day here...good for curling up on the couch and reading the entire Sunday paper...well, not the sports...or the classifieds...or the business section...but everything else! (that shouldn't take too long!) Then I'm going to go through all the college paperwork that I have been piling up to look at "when I have time..." no excuses, today's the day.

Chat was fun. Let's see, what did we discuss? Sex...figuring out where we can meet...sex..."womanly flow"...sex...college...sex...everyone that wasn't there...sex...you know, the usual!

Donna...don't worry, this is a bag of mixed nuts...we put the "FUN" in "dysfunctional!"

Sandy...thanks for the recipe, sounds good.Have fun at the party!

Deon...are your kids out on Spring break already? That doesn't start around here til after Easter...unless they cut that short because of all the snow days they used. (fingers crossed) You've inspired me to get my bike fixed...I love riding too!

2cute...you are a funny lady! I loved the little "Blue Man group!"

Lucky...put down the Nyquil! No, it should not be served with club soda and a twist of lime! Hope you're feeling better.

Thin... I'm glad you're getting on the Air Walker! What a difference that will make. BTW...thanks for the $$$ info last night.

Mary...I hope things are a bit better today.

Tina...See? I've been paying attention...not that that big ol' 20 on your avatar has anything to do with it!

Baylee...where'd you disappear to last night? Enjoy your time off.

Sara...hey! Good to see you! How's the maintenance going? Keep us posted.

Hi everyone else...time for me to run...my sofa is calling me. Actually, I have every intention of going to the gym...LATER...after I read the funnies and do the crossword puzzle!

Have a good day, all...

Kat... you "crack" me up. !!! "CRACK" ...get it.. nuts.. crack.
(2cute hiding her head in shame for that bad joke )

Sandy.. thanks for the recipe. I am going to post a spinach recipe later.

Deon... I want a pool !!!! Can I come and swim with you?
I will take care of your kids while there.

Okay.... I want you ALL to know you drive me CRAZY talking about what I miss in chat !!! Grrrr
I cannot imagine how those feel who "can't" go.
I am getting a little ..LOT... JEALOUS here !!!
Gotta run...

Hey ladies. Am tired this morning but I feel like maybe I've lost again. That wonderful thing called the scales has told me I've lost too, you think I learned and wouldn't go back to it, but it is addicting.

Kat: Yes my kids are on spring break. We don't have snow days here. I wish! But do to cut backs, because our schools claim they are so broke we will have a short school year.

2cute: I would love to have you over! Come on over and swim in my pool! It's just one of those cheapo ones. But it will work for me.

Donna: Feel better girl!!!

I got on the scale this morning, and I am down two more pounds. I lost an inch in the hips (shocking!--my butt is usually the LAST to go!), a couple inches in the chest, but my waist is still the same it was last week (better than GAINING there..)

Hello everybody! And what a fine day it is here in the north. I have been on my AirWalker first thing this morning before I allowed myself to do anything else. It is getting a little easier each day. I decided not to add more minutes until what I was doing was a little easier. Maybe tomorrow will be the day. I'm still out of breath when I get off of it, but that's ok. I really feel like I've accomplished something doing it each day. Oh crap, who was it that said I might even 'like' it???? YIKES!!!

Food still isn't the best. But I'm not doing awful either.

The baby is leaving for school tomorrow, which will make it somewhat easier on me foodwise. He doesn't like fish unless it's fried. He doesn't like the taco soup. He's much more picky that the older son and so that makes me have to cook two different meals, which is not fun. Don't get me wrong, I'll miss him, but....

It will also be nice because the oldest is in school three nights a week which will give honey and I more quiet time!!!

Tracy: I'm glad you came back to join us. Post often, it will help you stay on track!

Sandy: Ok, I'll try and help out with the 'remembering' part of it. (of course, maybe you already know all this and if that's the case, then just ignore me ) Anyway, I post my reply to the correct thread, and while that window is open, I open a second window (if you don't know how: go to 'file' at the top of your page, and you'll see 'new', and then 'window' will appear and click on it and you will have a new window). Then go to the old thread in that window and you can toggle back and forth as you answer each person. No need to try to remember it all. You're right, the pop ups are a pain in the butt. The only satisfaction is that they are only there for a couple of seconds AND you can manually close them. I'm sure the "chics" had to resort to the pop ups again to help pay the bills. This site costs alot of money to upkeep. * I loved the piece on *****dom!!! All true!!! * The lasagne recipe looks good. My guys won't do broccoli, I wonder if I can hide it in there somehow, like I do the soy crumbles.

Baylee: Where'd you go last night? You said you'd be back and then you never returned.

Donna: Sorry, girlfriend, but you're too late with the advice on the PB cups. Haven't touched any in more than a month. I decided the cold turkey route was the only way to go with them. * I hope you're feeling better today.

Mary: Don't you just hate those trivial fights. DH and I almost never fight, but when we do it is over the stupidest stuff! I hope things are better today. Also prayers for your brother that he will seek some assistance. [[[hugs]]]

Lucky: I'm hoping you're feeling better today. It was nice to 'see' you last night. * It sounds like either way that new job goes, it will be good for you. I think I'd opt for more money though, so my fingers are still crossed.

Tina: Hope you and your honey enjoyed the other night without the boys. Was there a Big and Tasty in there somewhere????

Katrina: You're welcome to the FAFSA info. I hope it helps. * That clam recipe looks good, but I'm not much into tomato based stuff. I wonder if there's a good white sauce substitute I could come up with. Maybe that white gravy mix we use in that good potato soup??? Ummmm. Maybe I'll try and play with that one, but Anchovies??? I don't think so!!!

2cute: I do believe I've opted for the 'cold turkey' routine. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and get the job done. * Hey, in case you missed my opening paragraph, did you see I've been on the AirWalker 3 days in a row??? huh, huh, did ya????? I loved the freezer labeling system. That is a hoot! And definitely one that would work in my house too. * I wonder why your silver didn't work??

Sara: Good to see you, sweetie. Keep up the maintainence.

Deon: What nice compliments you bestowed on our humble thread. Thank you. But make sure you get your butt in here more often too. We miss all our little chickies when they're gone.

Lori: Welcome to our little corner of 3FC's.

Well, girls, I think I am caught up...finally. I have to get some rears in gear. The baby leaves for school tomorrow and I have a ton of underwear to fold. He hasn't started packing yet. Whatever! Not my problem, I suppose!

Love to all. I'll catch up with you later.

God Bless America!

Good afternoon all!

I am not going to try and post to everyone this evening. I am still not feeling tip top. I do try and bite the bullet about it because the only solution pretty much is HRT and I refuse to take it. I just don't think they have found it to be safe enough for me especially being obese. I have tried everything including progesterone cream and lots of soy, but nothing works very well.

Guess what happened to us this afternoon? Dh felt really sorry for me so to get my mind off the pain, took me casinoing. We ate at Binion's Horseshoe casino and guess who was sitting behind us? The owner, Jack Binion! My dh talked to him for a few minutes and told him he had a nice casino blah blah blah. His family is pretty much the only totally owned family casinos left. They own a Horseshoe in Vegas and one in Michigan City, Indiana.
I guess I was just flabbergasted to see him sitting in the buffet eating! I am one of those people that don't go up to celebrities ever in restaurants. I think they deserve to eat in peace like we do! FYI-I picked at the food I had so I am sure I didn't overeat! I did skip the mall walk today as my legs and back are just killing me.

Well, it sounds like everyone is doing well today. Sure wish I could chat with all of you! It really makes me mad when I try and get booted and locked up. Oh well!

Talk to all you ladies later!

I spent my day drinking NyQuil (straight out of the bottle - no soda, no lime), going to the bathroom (womanly flow is also here) and laying on the couch.

UNTIL I heard a car in the driveway - Oh NO !!!!

My hair looked like a rats nest, I had on plaid loungers - okay, I will admit it - I looked awful.

I raced to the bathroom to put away my womanly flow accessory's and then to the door.

It was my cousin and her husband. They just stopped by to say HI!!! I just said "I have a cold" and left them to their thoughts about my apprearance.

After that is was back to drinking NyQuil, going to the bathroom and sitting in my chair with a heating pad.

Thank you for all your support on this job. I know they are still interviewing this week so keep those "Lucky gets the job" thoughts out there.

Well hello. I don't have to much to report. I just wanted to stay updated. I am eating well, in fact I am having a hard time keeping up with points. I can't seem to eat all of them. I have been anywhere from 6 to 10 points under. I am eating plenty, I just need to change and make sure I am getting more protien I think. Just too much of the good stuff. I never thought I would say that. hehe.

Well that is all for now! I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow and eat well and hug your kids. Be happy and keep praying for our troops!

Default one more for the road...

I just read this and thought I would share...then I'm going to bed...Nighty night!

Determining Weight Loss by Shane Idleman

There is no formula that states how much weight you will lose,
or by when. Everyone loses weight differently. One thing is for
certain: the more structured your plan, the faster the results.

What to expect on average:

· If you don't change your eating habits, but do incorporate one
hour of exercise four times a week, you can initially expect to
lose two to four pounds a month (depending on the intensity of
the exercise, and overall caloric intake.)

· If you consume 20 percent fewer calories five days a week than
what your body needs, and exercise four to five days a week, you
can initially expect to lose five to six pounds a month.

· If you consume 20 percent fewer calories everyday of the week,
and exercise one hour, five days a week, you can initially
expect to lose eight or more pounds a month.

Note: As your body adapts to these changes, the amount of weight you lose will rise and fall depending on genetic pre-
disposition, lifestyle, metabolism, and the biological changes
that are taking place within the body.
