During this time of thanks, I continue to be thankful for all that I have been blessed with. However, I do need to request prayers. Got the call at 4:15am that Chris' dad was being taken to the hospital. He was disoriented and had a fever. They thought maybe a gash on his leg had gotten infected.
Got the next call at 5:20 saying they would be doing a chest x-ray, but he was feeling a bit better.
Then got the call while we were getting ready that he was being admitted. He has pneumonia, an infection in his leg, and his white blood cell count is sky high.
We're still waiting for more updates. His dad is not in good health generally. He's severely obese, wheelchair-bound, and diabetic. He's 72 years old but we'd like him to be around a few years longer. Any prayers you can shoot skyward for us are much appreciated. (We take good vibes and positive thoughts in lieu of prayers, as well. We don't discriminate.)
Thanks girls. I pray that you all have a wonderful holiday!!!!!
Eh I'm ok. Actually minus being concerned for Chris and his dad, I'm pretty darn good. But Christopher's little nerves are shot. I got sucked into a meeting immediately when I got to work and when he hadn't heard from me after 15 min, he called his sister to check to see if I was here and then made her call the school to make sure Anna made it in ok. He's a little on-edge, my poor man.
Still not much in the way of updates for Butch. He definitely has pneumonia and infection in both legs, but they're still running other tests, as far as I've heard.
So yeah, trying to stay positive. Trying to keep Chris staying positive is the hardest part. We're going to run up to see his dad when I get off work, and stop and pick up my Quorn Turkey Roast on our way home. Not sure how it works when the elderly get pneumonia, but hoping he'll be released from the hospital soon.
Oy. Honestly, I'm just.......... tired. But everything will be ok. Gotta have faith. God has a plan. Hopefully just a little speed-bump. Thanks everyone for the good vibes, thoughts, and prayers. We really appreciate them!
Sending prayers and warm thoughts your way! I'm hoping for speedy healing for Butch and comfort for all the rest of you...it sounds like you may all be spending alot of time at the hospital over the next few days.
Lisa, I will be praying for Butch and for all of his friends and family. I will lift up all of the Medical staff attending Butch that they will be able to help him recover quickly.
