Default 1400 calories plus insanity workouts- no weight loss :(

I am at a loss... tomorrow I will finish month 1 of the insanity workout program, I have been meticulously counting calories, getting between 1350 and 1400 per day with one 2000 calorie day each week.( I dont go crazy on this day, usually add an extra protein shake and a serving of fruit) getting within 2% of 20% fat, 35% protein and 45% carbs each day, plus running 3 miles at 6.5 mph at least three times each week - Im also a dance teacher so I am always on my feet, its been an entire month of work and the scale hasnt moved an inch.. PLEASE help me!! im getting discouraged and tempted to dive into an icecream--- thanks!

I would try raising your calorie intake to 1800. Your body may think its starving.

Yup. You need to eat more.
I started out eating only 1200-1300 calories and working out 5 days a week for 45 minutes.
I now workout 6 days (sometimes 7) for 1 1/2-2 hours and I NEED to eat between 1600-1700 calories. If not, I will literally feel like I am starving. And I am still losing weight.

Oh, and I do Insanity also

1) You are likely eating too little for your level of activity, as the girls above mentioned.

2) You are near the lower end of a normal BMI for your height. While you may want to get those last 6 lbs off, you have to accept that, being so close to your goal, and being a low-normal BMI, weight isn't going to drop off quickly, even if you do everything right. So you may need to be more patient.

3) Given that you're not likely to be dropping multiple pounds a week, and you're doing Insanity, it's entirely possible that you're replacing the .5-1 lb of fat loss you could expect with muscle gain and muscle swelling, given your workout schedule. Are you tracking your body fat percentage at all? Or your measurements? Changes there might not show up on the scale.

danzingurl77 - I am also doing Insanity & aiming for about 1400 on weekdays and a couple hundred more on the weekends! Monday will be the beginning of week four & I've barely lost any weight. So frustrating Let me know how it goes, I hope both of our goals get closer as the Insanity days go on! Try not to get discouraged
