Default HNS/Bars other than MRC Brand

I was curious where everyone gets their HNS and bars from if not from the center. I've heard dietdirect but it seems the prices are the same or higher there.

Also, which brands do you use? And which are your favorites??

you have to wait until they're on sale, then buy in bulk and that decreases the rate.

The Pure Protein bars seem pretty similar in stats and I can get them at Kroger I stock up when they go on sale 10/$10 coupons are pretty easy to find as well.

Met-Rx also does a decent bar but theirs are huge and double everything(double calories, protein, carbs etc.) so I will cut them in half and save the other half in a zip bag. Again, I stock up when there's a sale. I think the other brands all taste better then the MRC ones.

I do pure protein, you can also get it at walmart, pkg of 5 for 5.95, and sometimes they have it on sale, special K has too many carbs, you can also use Akins Advantage meal replacement bar, but be sure to get the ones with higher protein, 17 gr. For HNS, I use body fortress whey protein, comes in a variety of flavors, also, Walmart. 2lbs for 16.00, use 1 heaping tablespoon with 4oz of water. Like the choc, it makes me feel like I'm drinking choc milk, and I really miss milk. Akins shakes are the only comparable shakes that I have found. Have lost 65lbs, since June 9, 2010. So these choices haven't hurt me yet. Good Luck!

I went in to my local MRC yesterday and they had a sign posted about a new variety pack of bars that will be available by the end of October - the list of flavors looked suspiciously like the BariWise variety pack (I hope so) !!

many of the products are the ones they sell at the center....they are made at the same plant and are private labelled for many different brands of diet centers around the country. I don't remember offhand the brands -- either wonderslim or bariwise. Once you see them, you will see they are the same product.

Does anyone know which shake from online (bariwise, protidiet, or wonderslim) is most like the one from MRC?

I really like the MRC chocolate meal-replacement shake, and I don't want to buy something that doesn't taste the same...

I believe it's the BariWise Meal Replacement Protein Shake -- available in chocolate and vanilla. Check the nutritional information against the label from the MRC one -- I think it's the same product. I couldn't use the center's shakes or the BariWise ones though because I'm very carb sensitive and they had too many carbs for me.

I bought one of these variety packs and they are the exact same (had a box at home that I ordered from diet direct). Wish it would have had the strawberry yogurt one (its really good). But these bars rock!

I just got the new variety pack a few days ago and so far the ones I have had are really good. My favorite so far is the peanut butter, but, I love peanut butter.

Yeah, I got one, too, and I love it so far! I have really enjoyed the chocolate marshmallow & rocky road ones.

FYI- if you like yogurt I spoke to a counselor at MRC who eats the Kroger brand Carb Master yogurts. Great for on the go lunches. They are really yummy too. Kinda thicker like a custard. Only 60 calories too. 2/88 cents
