Default Pumpkin Oatmeal

Hi Everyone!

I started making this last week, it's super filling and 3 points or more depending on which kind of oatmeal you use.

1 Cup Canned Pumpkin - 1PT

1 Packet Instant Oatmeal (I use Quaker Hazelnut)-2PTS

2 or 3 Packets Splenda (Optional)

1/2 Cup Water

1 Tsp Cinnamon or More (Optional)

Mix all ingredients together and microwave for 90 seconds. I eat this twice a day because it's low in points and is super filling

That sounds super yummy! What kind of canned pumpkin do you get?

Thanks!

I've been buying the Libby's brand and it's $1.47 for the small can, was thinking about heading to Sav-A-Lot because I heard their large can is a lot cheaper.

I'll have to go by the sav-a-lot after work! It's dreary outside today and that would be a perfect dinner with some fruit and tea!

That looks amazing. It should curb my cravings for pumpkin pastries.

Yayyy! I'm glad you liked it and finally glad I came up with something that didn't make people too grossed out.

This is really good but the oatmeal isn't cooking all the way if I mix it ahead of time. I cook the oatmeal first and then mix in the pumpkin, sugar, and cinnamon. Maybe my microwave requires more cooking time if mixed first. Anyway, this is so filling for 3 pts at breakfast, I haven't been hungry for lunch and was able to save those points. Thanks for sharing!

Looking forward to trying this. My husband and I both are doing WW toghether. We have been eating oatmeal in the morning. My husband is not so keen on the oatmeal. We have been looking for something to add to his oatmeal. My only question is how many points are the pumpkin?

the first post with this recipe from KimberlyP said that 1 cup of pumpkin was 1 point. I hope that is what you wanted to know.
