31 lbs down-My progress pictures!
I finally made it to the 130s!
My scale hasn't read 139 in over 10 years. I am over the moon right now!
A little background about myself:
I just had my daughter this past February and only lost 10 lbs of the 45 lbs I gained during my pregnancy. I somehow convinced myself into believing I was meant to be this heavy. After all, I just had a baby, I was working full time and I was trying to go back to school. I absolutely had no time to lose weight......That's what I made myself think.
My weight loss epiphany came on July 14 when I was getting ready to go out to eat with my boyfriend and I realized I was still wearing maternity clothes. That did it for me. I completely changed my mindset on that day.
I have lost 31 lbs since July 14. And I am not done yet
I have also entered myself in the LA marathon and have begun my training.
I will never go back to how I was. The way I look and feel about myself tastes much better than any food I can ever thing of
*Left picture was taken late June. @ 174.
*Right picture was taken 3 weeks ago @ 143

I just had a big dumb moment.
I was wondering and getting a bit sad that my post was not getting any replies until I realized my thread was closed! LOL

You look FANTASTIC. I would never guess that the girl in the After photo had been overweight.

i've had my baby on May 1st and I gained 50 lbs during pregnancy, and i lost 28 lbs in first 2 months after birth. and just like you said - i thought i had to be fat, i've just had i baby.
but then it just hit me that i don't want to look like this. I started with weight loss on July 12th, a few weeks after you.
you really look fantastic! what have you been doing to lose all those punds?

Gotdam*!!! You did amazing! It is truly inspiring what a 30lb weight loss can bring!
I love that you are 5'3...Im 5'3 1/2 ha and I am constantly worried that once I get to 170 or so that it will be harder to lose the last 30-40lbs. The fact that you did it (and in only a few months) proves to me that it can be done and I CAN have that tummy afterwards. Just amazing!
Thanks so much for sharing!

Hey Pammi - Just a quick question, you said your scale hadn't read 139 in over 10 years. Did you gain the 45lbs ten years ago? Or did you have a different starting weight?
Again, you look FANTASTIC! Just wondering if that tummy is achievable if I've been overweight a few years opposed to a year =)

Thank you so much for your kind words!
I started counting my calories from day 1. Started drinking water (I NEVER drank water), I also stopped drinking my calories (I only drink water and diet coke....I can't give it up!) And of course, I got active. I workout 6 days a week
I won't lie. It was super hard at 1st. Many, many times I would drive by a Del Taco and almost burst out crying because I wanted my usual macho size fries, 1/2 bean cheese burrito and Mr. Pibb (This was like crack to me) But I kept driving. I have had fast food a few times since I started to lose weight but I didn't binge eat like I did before. There is nothing wrong with indulging yourself once in a while, but moderation is the key.

Thank you!
Oh, trust me. If I can achieve this belly, anyone can!
I am sorry, I should have been more specific about my weight. The last time I was in the 130s, I was 15 or 16. I started to gain weight when I started my first job at McDonalds.....go figure LOL
Then everything went downhill from there. I gained 50 lbs throughout high school but was able to go down to 150 as soon as I quit McDonalds. And from ages 18-23, My weight always stayed between 145-160. Until I got pregnant last year.
In Feb, I went into labor weighing in at 184, and 4 months later, I was only 10 lbs lighter. I knew I needed to make a change quick!
And I did, and will never go back

Thank you for taking the time to explain! It truly is amazing, your stomach ROCKS! I work out 5x a week (free weights, endurance) for an hour a day so I'm really hoping that that helps me in the tummy department. Right now I feel like it's just a deflated fat...but I haven't even lost half of the weight I want to...so we'll see!
I LOVE what you said to the previous poster. It is ALL about moderation! My friends or others think I'm CRAZY when I tell them as a treat to myself at the end of every 4 weeks boot camp I eat a burger and one side of fries (whereas before I would eat umm a LARGE and another small...).
Weight Loss isn't about not eating the things you love. It is about moderation and learning how to feed your body the nutrients it needs. Yes, fries are not needed to keep your body fit, however, they are needed as a reward for me every four weeks after a cycle of boot camp ends!
It hasn't hindered me yet =) So hearing that you once in awhile indulge yourself and were still able to achieve that awesome body, I'm hoping I can do the same =) Thanks so much for the inspiration!
