Unhappy ROUGH day: Yesterday

Yesterday was my ROUGHEST day since starting. Started out okay, but the dinner I made was disgusting. My husband who if he doesn't like something will pull me to the side privately to tell me it "wasn't his favorite" mouthed behind his hand when the kids weren't looking..."this tastes like a**". Oh.My.WORD. It was bad, I think it did indeed taste like I imagine that would. LOL.

We now know that we do not care for Tempeh in the least. But then I didn't really have anything else prepared, so I had an egg sandwich (22 carbs) after already having a wrap for lunch (16 carbs) and then I was DIEING for something sweet so I had a low sugar hot cocoa (10 carbs). I cannot find sugar free anywhere, tried making the homemade and had a big blob of the cocoa pop in my mouth, just about retched. Feeling a little down about it, but I did not make brownies or hit the fruit loops like I wanted, so I did feel positive about that. I guess it's how we deal with the pot holes huh? So maybe I did better than I thought...hmmm thats a better spin.

Things happen. It's best to just pick up, dust off and start fresh for the next meal. Sounds like you handled things pretty well, a lot of people in your situation would be sending out for pizza.

I like to keep things in the house that I can quickly throw together for a healthy, OP meal. One of our favorites around here is greens & beans. I always keep a can or two of white beans in the pantry and either fresh or frozen greens on hand. Throw that together with some sauteed onion and garlic and you've got a yummy, healthy meal.

I hate that! When you make a recipe, and it turns out tasting like a** LOL

We all have rough days, yours sounds particularly challenging, and I think it's great that you didn't go off the deep end, that really is great!

Keep thinking positive!!!
