Today marks 70lbs lost!
For that I am very happy, and extremely proud. I made a decision to change my health in April 2010. My father in law was dying of cancer, and I made the decision then, at a very stressful time, to make it happen.
So here I sit 70 lbs lighter
I have been doing a version of the Dukan diet where you eat oats for breakfast, then protein and veg for the rest of the day. I have drunk 100 0zs water every day. I have used my static exercise bike for exercise, and have 2 big labradors who need to be walked
I have come to this site every day. Sometimes I like the responses I get, sometimes I don't ! Virtual forums are always interesting
Most of the time people have been so supportive.
I am aiming to get to 100lbs lost, and then re-evaluate. I don't know where to set my goal. Having started at 298 lbs all I could see was to get under the 200's. Six years ago I lost a similar amount and got under 200 (life got in the way and I put it all back on
) but I was left with lots of saggy skin and a bad attitude to food.
However, I like to think things have changed, and that I have changed. It is such a mental battle, and one that has severe ups and downs. When the scale doesn't move (not because you have gone off plan, but because our bodies don't always show our efforts as fast as we'd like) it can be so demoralising.
But I know now I am going to conquer this demon, become the size 12 (US size 8)person I have always wanted to be, and get rid of the last "x" number of pounds.
Thank you for your support, encouragement and even the occasional telling off! You have all helped so much to keep me on track and have had a huge hand in the success I have achieved so far.
Thank you so much
