Nope, just carbs!! I do Atkins pretty much to a tee!! I teeter between induction and OWL.. When I call myself cheating, I am in owl, when I am being strict, induction all the way!!

Hey! I just noticed that your starting weight is exactly what I weigh today!

I think that's a really good way to go! I notice on sometime when I am on a "OWL binge" I don't lose weight but it comes off FAST after just 2-3 days back on "induction".

I have been loosing wt since April 4th but have lost 22 of the pounds since June 3rd.

I felt needed a serious break and did Nutri System for the past 20 days. I lost six pounds, but OMG I was so hungry! And my blood sugar, which has been a steady 100-115mg/dl the entire time I was on Atkins still got up to 150mg/dl a couple of times...

I am doing the "30 pounds by Christmas Challenge" and I am 100% sure I can do it on Atkins!

start: 288 / current: 260.2/ goal: 180

NM, you can easily loose 30 lbs by Christmas on Atkins.. The stricter in induction you stay the quicker it will go!!! I already put my family on notice, we are eating this way through the holidays too!! I refuse to sabotage myself with a carb fest, just because tradition says I have to eat a million carbs on Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!

Way to go. I stalled myself after a 3 week holiday to France ... gained 2 pounds and lost that when I got back but then just stayed there. Now I am losing again, 5 pounds in the past couple of weeks, which is fine by me.

I stayed on STRICT induction and it only took me about 8-9 months to lose a total of 65 lbs....and even surpass goal. And I absolutely did not buckle during the holidays. I cooked for 30 on Thanksgiving....and only ate some turkey and some steamed broccoli. And boy, you shoulda seen the fabulous desserts they all brought (family)....from some of the best pastry shops in NYC.

Sticking to induction, IMO, makes it easy. There is no leeway and you always know exactly what and can eat......not to mention you lose the weight faster....which provides HUGE motivation all the way there. Hang in there!

Absolutely. I think we should start a new thread with a weekly weigh-in with our progress. 30 lbs by the new year. I love a challenge.
