Default Snacking?

My g/f and I started SBD today and we're unsure of the snacking situation. Are you permitted to snack more than the AM and PM snacks? We both go to the gym regularly and had our PM snacks however we're still hungry. Is this permissible to have an additional snack?

Thank you!

Congratulations on making the decision to do SB, you won't be dissapointed! I would not suggest going hungry but I also wouldn't recommend snacking on high calorie/fat snacks.
Do veggies for extra snacks since you can have all you want. I cut up celery and smear some laughing cow soft cheese or I will warm up some edamame. Have you looked at the recipe lists? There are some good ideas there too.

Thanks Lindsay, I've seen the recipes, but my question was more focused on whether or not we were allowed to add an extra snack here and there if we were hungry. Veges and other low cal stuff is fine with us, as long as we're not starving! Thanks again for your help.

You should never be hungry in Phase 1 so go ahead and add an extra snack if you need it. Have you posted menus? I wonder if there might be a way to tweak your meals a little too. I'm thinking about adding things like beans that keep you full longer.

ETA - the usual pattern is 3 meals and 3 snacks so you've got an extra anyway

Yup- you don't go hungry at all in phase 1- so snack away (of course it needs to follow phase 1 foods though).

I added extra snacks in PH1 and still lost weight and had no problems with cravings. Of course all the snacks were PH1 friendly.

I basically ate about 6 times a day on Phase I. It's one of the things that got me hooked on SB.
