~Jim and I would start our cyber cafe where his parents live.

~buy a piece of land (with a stream) and build a log cabin. This house would have newest and coolest kitchen. (this house would be by his parents home)

~fly my family to my new home for a week at Christmas.

~pay off Jim's x (child support) so we never have to speak with her again!

~buy myself a new car - perhaps a Jag

~get Jim his navy blue bmw

~build a mini verison of our log cabin in the back that Sara can play in.

~montly mother/daughter trips for Sara and I to the day spa (Sara's not quite old enough yet.. but she will want to go soon!

~set aside the rest of the money for Sara's college and our retirement

Have I run out of money?

that sounds pretty nice, alright! i would pay off all my medical bills. after that, i would take a couple trips to:
-carmel, ca where i would relax and enjoy the beautiful ocean
-ny-and go to lots of plays, museums, etc.
-i would go to a day spa once a month too for facial, massage, manicure, and pedicure. (sounds so wonderful just thinking about it!)
-buy presents for my wonderful friends.
-buy a whole new wardrobe.

thanks for the topic! i was having a pretty stressful day up 'til now and this put a smile on my face.

-My SO and I would start a folk dance camp. Yes, we're weirdos.
-I would go to school full-time, make some movies.
-Travel ALL over.
-Buy a ranch and about 7 more dogs. Maybe start a Husky Rescue.
-Throw many many many parties. I love to entertain.

Pay off any bills I have.

Build a spay/neuter clinic for my animal rescue organization (I started one in 2000), and a small shelter and endow it.

Buy a new car and a new truck.

Help out my son who was just laid off.

Put a second story on my house and make it look like a bungalow.

Create a really cool landscaped garden that somebody else weeds.

Take my entire family to Maui on vacation.

Buy a vacation cabin on the coast.

Each time the lottery gets up there, I think about what I'd do, but then I never buy a ticket. I gotta start buying those lottery tickets!

1. QUIT OUR JOBS AND PAY OFF THE BILLS
2. Travel all over the world, I would spend 2-3 years doing this
3. Buy a house
4. Buy a new car
5. Go back to college and get some more degrees like acting and painting and really unpractical stuff
6. Devote some serious time to my favorite charities
7. Walk across America
8. Write a screenplay
9. Put a theatre in my house
10. Have lunch with Oprah

This is a fun one ~ if only......

Quit my job

DH could quit too if he wanted to

Buy homes and pay off all the bills for my daughter and her family, my other daughter, my son, my sister and her family, my brother and his family

Get my parents a new home if they wanted or make repairs on their current one and pay off thier bills

Get all of the above mentioned people new cars so they would have reliable transportation

Put in an indoor swimming pool ~ I have always dreamed of living in a house with a pool

Travel to see my kids, parents and siblings ~ who all live where I don't

And ~ I liked the one Shelia said about landscaping the yard and someone else does the taking care of it

This was fun ~ to be able to dream for a bit.

Thanks slimdown for the thread

Maybe I'm nuts, but I don't think that my DH or I would quit our jobs. (ok, maybe because I haven't started working yet, but I will start teaching next semester, and I've worked too hard for too long to get to this point)

I would pay off all of the bills.

Go to culinary school (but never work as a chef)

Put in a pool

Move my parents to Arizona and buy them a beautiful house.

It is nice to dream sometimes! Thanks Dana for the thread!

Quit my job!

Pay off all of our bills.

Build a *gorgeous* log cabin in the sandhills of Nebraska.

Build a vacation cabin in Alaska.

Buy each of us a brand new vehicle.

Buy/build my parents, dh's dad, & dh's mom a home wherever they wanted.

Take an Alaskan cruise.

Set aside enough so we could live comfortably for the rest of our lives.

This was fun!

ohhhh, the things I could do...

I'd buy my mom a house, somewhere closer, so I could have my whole family together...

I'd give my mom a proper wedding, she's marrying her fiancee of 12 years next month.

I'd buy myself my dream wedding gown, in my goal size, for when hubby and I renew our vows

I'd build a youth center here in town, there's nothing for young people to do here, and that worries me... we don't have much crime, but we do have a lot of teen parents.

I'd expand and fund our local library... so they don't have to cut hours anymore.

I'd go to school, for the rest of my life...just little courses is fine with me, don't need med school, just keep the brain active... seriously, lol, I love learning... everything I can get my hands on...

I'd take a trip, not really an extravagant one, not my style... but a trip, with just hubby....

Write and publish the book that hubby and I are planning, his grandfather's life story.

and I'd hook my in laws up, with whatever they needed...

umm, am I out of money yet? If not, I have a few more ideas...

--edit--

Duuuuh, in my do gooding for everyone else, I forgot my kids college fund... hehe... so add that to my tally...of course, some of that money would be growing in smart investments, so I could cover it

Wow, good question! I've fantisized about this on numerous occasions so here's what I would do with 25 million dollars.

* leave my husband

* pay off every bit of debt I have

* buy a new car

* buy my own house with everything I want in it

* have a tummy tuck (when I'm finished losing weight)

* have lasik eye surgery (I hate having to wear glasses!)

* have a complete medical and dental exam (no ins. right now)

* give some to all of my family

* set up a trust for my daughter's college education

* invest some

* save a lot!

* enjoy the freedom of never having to worry about money again!
