Default Red Team Chat Thread Week 12 (8/16-8/22)

Only two more weeks to go ladies. For those of us who are still hanging on let's push through this challenge and finish strong. I know I need the extra motivation right now for myself.

I will have results tomorrow from the week 11 weigh in. I can tell you we lost 3 more members this week because of people forgetting to post and having already used two freebies. Red team is now down to 9 members.

Good Morning Teamies,

Wow just two weeks left. I am hoping to lose 3 pounds. I am going on a weekend get-a-way trip to Colorado in two weeks so the timing is perfect. I have a birthday party for my oldest son during this time but other than that no big food celebrations to work around. I just need to concentrate on eating on plan and exercising. I know it is possible so I just need to focus. I am also hoping the 3 pounds will get me to size 10. My size 12's are definitely getting baggy but the size 10's are still tight. To top things off, if I lose the 3 pounds I will actually bust into the 140's! I do not remember the last time I weighed in the 140's but it was probably about 18 years ago. I am very, very motivated.

How's everyone doing this week? I'm heading back to Korea in two days. It will take me a total of about 20 hrs to travel back and get settled into the new apartment. I'll be online as soon as I can. What is everyone else up to this week?

The last two days have been spot on plan. Plus lots of exercise as usual. I have to fight the usual cravings for sweets but I am absolutely ignoring them with the trip to Colorado just around the corner. I feel pretty sure I can get to that size 10. Hopefully anyway.

Shan-What is it like to commute between two countries like that? Is it kind of unreal or our things really not all that different?

Terapet- Good job on plan and with all that exercise. Where in Colorado will you be going?

Traveling between the states and Korea is a little surreal. When I returned to the states after being gone for almost two years, I was in shock for the first 4 days I was here. I was walking around just observing everything and listening to everyone speak English. Haha. But, I love both countries so it's not bad. The hardest part is leaving my mother and my grandmother each time I leave, but on the plus side I'm going home to my boyfriend of 10 months now, so that's exciting.

Hope everyone else is having a good week.

We are going to the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. It is only for the weekend but I am really looking forward to our stay there.

I had Mexican for lunch today. Very risky but I love it. I tried to be careful how much I was eating. I also tried to make it up a little bit at dinner. I am very unscientific calorie counter so I hope I am not unhappy with myself at the end of the week.

Terapet- I hear your about the Mexican food. I had it for lunch today too for the last time for the next year haha. It was very tasty and I made sure to get a high amount of vegetables in. I also went light for dinner tonight too.

We aren't hearing from many people this week. Hope your all doing great. I'm off to Korea tomorrow so I will be off the computer for about two days. I'l check back in here on Friday late night.

Shan- have a safe trip back to Korea. See you on the flip side!

Terapet- I've never stayed at the Broadmoore, but loved visiting the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo as a kid. Have a great trip.

Not much to report here. Working lots while kids are at daycare. Not ideal, but c'est la vie

Today went okay. I am trying to keep my calories below 1800 but I am hungry. I should have eaten more protein at dinner tonight. Sigh. Tomorrow will be better.

Hi ladies. Made it back to the island safely this morning (now I'm back to being a day ahead of all of you back in the states). No real jet lag. Took a nap for about two hours earlier this afternoon. It's great to be back. The bf missed me a lot. Held me hostage all day to himself. Haha! Meeting up with some new teachers tomorrow hopefully, and get to see my best friend on the island tomorrow night for dinner. I'm sticking within my calories but the exercise is lacking this week because of the traveling. I'm going to go back to the gym here and join again starting on Monday!

Hey ladies. Hope your weeks are going well. I joined the YMCA today. I was a member back in Atlanta and was hoping to have one near me when I moved to Nashville. Luckily I do (one by my home AND one by my work) and since I ended up quitting WW meetings, I figured that money could go towards my gym membership. I'm so excited! I've been really inactive lately because of the heat (I tried getting up early to exercise for like a week but I'm just not a morning person). I can't wait to get my muscles back!

Good for you Alcai. I have been a Y member for almost 15 years. I pretty much am there through thick and thin, literally! I love the group classes.

Don't forget to weigh in today. Unfortunately, I am showing a gain again. But I know this is the last time. Now that I am home and I can go back to healthy eating and hitting the gym, I will be going back down in no time. Part of the gain is because we went out last night for a big dinner and drinking with friends who I hadn't seen since I had left 6 weeks ago. I definitely overindulged and take responsibility for it. But, moving on now...
