Default Need Ideas for/from the 60's

Okay, so my BIL is getting married on Sept. 11 and they are having a 60's inspired Wedding and reception.

The only idea I have so far is to put some flowers in my hair. Im pretty familiar with the 70's style and it seems to be similar but Im not sure.

What should I wear??

Hopefully I will lose some of this weight and look awesome! I have a limited income but can afford to buy something but I dont know what or where!

Help?

Oh, I love the 50s and 60s!
Uhmm. Clothing wise...
-a peace sign necklace
-a shirt with pattern (doesn't have to be tye-dye!)
-maybe a beaded headband

Lol, it probably sounds crazy what I'm saying!
I wish I had a picture of what I envision. If
I find one I will definitely show you!

Here's what I was talking about.
By the way, this is my soon to be sister-in-law.
I really didn't want to use her photo on the
internet without her permission but I couldn't
find another photo to exactly match my vision.
Like me, she's REALLY into the 60s. She has
a very old soul. Hope this helped!

Thank you, your picture did help very much! I was thinking about peace signs and headbands. Hopefully she will never know that you posted her picture LOL, although she is very beautiful!!

That picture does seem to represent the 60's... Do you think that the 60's and 70's are kind of the same when it comes to the dress style?

She is wearing a regular wedding dress BTW... I dont want to feel akward so Im thinking of just going to the reception in the 60's gear. Although, I will probably put the flowers in my hair for the wedding too.

She loves the 60's and wants to combine that with a traditional wedding. I dont know how she is going to pull it off! There has been little to no planning. Just a date and she has MIL lined up to make the cake.

Actually, now that I have seen the pic you could delete it. No harm, no foul! Thank you for sharing with me, I appreciate it very much.

Lol, thanks! I feel better after deleting
it. The 60s and 70s are pretty much
the same style. So if you find a 70s outfit
or if you think that's easier for you to off
of then that'll do. Have fun and congrats to her!
