Okay so it's been a month today since I started my healthier eating crusade and today is casual day at work. I have only lost 6 lbs but my jeans are not as tight and I feel a bit more comfortable in my own skin. When I was close to 170 I literally felt fat, my body felt fat when I walked and sat down. I don't feel that way now and my jeans are not tight. You know what I mean, the after they have been washed tightness, well I could pull the wasteband out this morning.
The only problem I seem to be having this past month is that my feet swell at the end of the day. I am not on any meds so that is not the cause and I don't think I am consuming more salt in my meals. I have low blood pressure 90/60 so i don't worry about salt but I don't salt everything either.
So I am not sure why they are swelling and it's just my feet. Ideally I create this scenario that its the weight I am losing over night and it is collecting in my feet before it exits the body entirely (yeah i am warped) lol
I am going to stay on my crusade but just wanted to give encouragment to those discouraged today and any other day, just keep moving and focusing on your goals.

YES!! I LOVE that picture of Calvin making faces!! Everytime I see it, it makes me giggle!
My G-ma and my sisters feet swell... for no reason. My g-ma says her feet have swollen since she was a kid (she gonna be 90... or maybe she just turned 90... I can't remember). Drink lots of water and prop your feet up when you can!
I am wearing my jeans today, too! When I bought them, they were uncomfortably tight (but they were on clearance for $3.49 - how could I pass that up?). Now they are lose enough, I throw them in the drier after washing them!! I LOVE when jeans get loser! That is THE BEST feeling.
(whow. I think I have had too much coffe this morning.)

There is a stretch that is suppose to help with that...you lay on your back and put your feet up the wall, with your back side as close to the wall as you can get it. Just lay there for a while. It is absolutely my favorite stretch.

Perhaps.. You could try a daily massage and some good'ol soaking in warm water each night before you sleep? Or go the extra mile, soak your feet in warmed milk, MMmmmm~!
K.S.
If you don't want to soak in milk, try the warm water with epsom salts. I helped organize a 30K walk a couple of years ago and as each participant crossed the finish line, we gave them a baggie of epsom salts so they could soak their tired/swollen feet at the end of the day. As a sidebar, I like to throw a cup full into a bath every now and then when my muscles are tight and sore, and I feel rejuvenated when I'm done.
