Default Was there a point when your skin became a mess?

And when did it start clearing up for you?

I never really had acne or a lot of blemishes when I was young, but since I've hit 270 and above, my skin is a MESS, no matter what I do.

Once in awhile it'll clear up for a few days, but then it breaks out again.

I'm past menopause, so it shouldn't have to do with hormones, but maybe...

Just wondering if anyone else had experienced a problem like this?

I notice that when I eat poorly for an extended period of time, my skin really gets terrible. I break out and it just feels bad, too. Once I get back on plan and eat healthy my skin clears right up.

Thank you.
No doubt that's my problem too.

I've had an outbreak of acne on my chin lately - and I'm at maintenance weight! Proactive is working!!

I had more than my fair share of pimples when I was morbidly obese.

Than one day it hit me (I don't remember how far I was on my journey), that I had not had a single one for ages.

I do get an occasional pimple every now and then - and sure enough, it's the second I eat something *off*.

My skin has cleared up since I began eating better.

I do still have a few right around TOM, though - but they clear up right after.

It doesn't seem fair to have to deal with both wrinkles and pimples!

My skin has been looking better all around. I really started to notice the last few days and thought I was nuts. This explains it.... better eating, more water!!

Yes, I had more pimples obese than as a teenager. They cleated up within a month on plan and I've only had two more since then and they were cycle related.

I've been eating well for over three months now, but haven't seen any reduction in my acne. I am still at a very high weight (and have PCOS) so I assume I might be stuck with this skin for quite some time, but it is awful dealing with it. I wash my face every day, use topical creams for breakouts, drink a lot of water, exercise and eat right. Nothing seems to be working. Here's to hoping it gets better!

My breakouts slowed wayyyyyy down when I stopped eating a lot of junk food and processed stuff, and started eating lots of veggies & fruits and drinking water. If I have ONE DAY where I eat sugary stuff or fried food, I break out the next day. But as long as I stay away from that stuff I only get minor breakouts around TOM.

Certain foods are linked to acne. Check out the book "dietary cure for acne."

For me, if I have wheat or dairy, I break out. Cut those things out, and wham, clear skin.

My skin is horrible. I've recently started using prescribed topical clindamycin and my skin has been clearing up. I've used all the other otc products and nothing has ever worked for me but this Rx is! I'm so excited about it and with my insurance it only cost $6 for about a months supply.
