My friend loaned me hers and she got it at Williams Sonoma. It's 60 bucks, and comes with an extra bowl, so you could make 2 batches at the same time. The bowls have some kind of gel in them that keeps them cold.
Mine came out soft, but well formed, like soft serve. I divied it up into separate bowls and put them in the freezer.
The machine was very easy to clean. I'm going tonight or tomorrow to buy one. This machine is normally 110 bucks, so 60 seems a good deal. It took about 15 minutes to make.
Hope that helps!
I just realized I can also take this into my classroom and make soy icecream for my kiddos who can't have dairy
Megan, I'm sure you can get one for less than 30 bucks at Walmart. I just think this will be a good investment for me since I love ice cream/sorbets and tweaking the recipes to make them healthier than the stuff I buy at the store.
