Default Trying to stay motivated.

Hi everyone,
My name is melissa, trying to find ways to stay motivated hoping to be able to do that here.I am a yo-yo dieter and hate it, I just always start and find myself saying forget it.... even though I am so unhappy with my size. Just joined today and am still unfamiliar with some of the features of the site.I am 5'9 and weight 242pds hoping to be 170

Hi Melissa, we are glad you are here. Right now what motivates me is the anticipation about what the scale will say each morning, if it goes up that kicks me into over drive, if it goes down it keeps me on the same path. Please keep us updated

Hi MJwoeber! This site is wonderful for support, and motivation! You should check out the before/after pics for people who have made goal and mini goal. they are so inspirational to me, I find myself reading their stories when I want to give up, and it re-energizes me. Also, come check out "chicks up for a challenge" There are several different groups that set goals/and time frames that help keep you focused. Personally I am on the "July weight loss Challenge" you should come check it out! Most importantly, keep coming back, it really helps. Welcome, and Good luck!

I wrote down a list of 25 reasons why I want to lose weight and posted it near my computer, on my fridge, and on my mirror. I make it a point to read it everyday and especially when I am feeling a little temped. It really does help me to realize is this thing that I want to eat really worth these 25 things.
