NSV: Swimsuit I actually wore in front of people!
My sweetie and I were going to a Father's Day BBQ/Pool party last month and while at Wal*Mart (what can I say, I'm classy) looking for board shorts to wear while swimming, I saw this skirted-halter-tankini-type thing on the rack and thought "Nahhh, it'd never fit me, my belly would hang outta the top part"
Tried it on anyway, and HOLYCRAPITFIT!
So I got it...
Two more pics here:

And I wore it in front of people! The only thing that made me most uncomfortable wasn't my fat, but my tattoos (but that's nothing new, I HATE THEM SO MUCH!!)
I'm not settling at this weight, but I am feeling better every day anyways... YAY!

Wow, that looks great on you! You look fantastic in it. I hope I can find one like that for next summer. Is there a tag or anything on the inside that says the brand?

It's White Stag brand which I believe is a Wal*Mart exclusive!
It was $32 which felt like a lot, but at the same time really wasn't that bad.
I got the biggest size they had (2x) I think the smallest they had was Medium.

Thanks! Maybe if my arms aren't hideous in a couple of months i'll take a look for it, or buy one and hope I can fit into it by next summer. That does seem a little pricey, but if it looks good on you, and you feel good, then I think it's worth it!

You should be really proud of yourself You look amazing and I know how scary it can be wearing a bathing suit in public.. I'm still extremely wary of it.
Congrats!

This is a really great suit. It has that retro look because of the halter top thing going on. (I can kinda imagine the secretarial pool from "Mad Men" poolside.) My eyes go straight upward to your face & hair & the way you've perched your sunglasses atop your head. That neckline is sooo very flattering to your face & decolletage.
When I bought a swimsuit last year, it was for Sunday afternoon swim class, and my criteria was: "It must not fall off. No matter what I'm doing. No boob accidentally slipping out." It was sort of the sports-bra theory, only expanded for a full body thing. Now when I see really cute suits like yours, I wish I got something more fashionable, less like something favored by the Eastern Bloc Women's Olympic Swimming Team Circa 1984.

You look great! I can't wait until I feel comfortable again going in public in a bathing suit. I just turned down a scout event at a water park because I'm not going out in a bathing suit around the other scout moms.

You have a great figure, and carry your (rapidly plummeting!) weight very well. That's a banging suit style, WTG for finding it at Walmart!
I can't even wear a bathing suit now in the 170s much less when I was in the 200+ range but you pull it off with great style! I hope to be able to soon though, your happy face in that picture has me convinced it's worth striving for
