Good morning ladies.

I have an announcement

I lost 13 lbs during the month of June

If I did my math right, that makes for a 9% loss!!!! start 229, end 216. I feel like a brag queen....but I can't just go throwing that info around just anywhere......................so bear with me girls

My mini goal is to get back into Onederland.......and when I get there, I am going to buy myself something shmexy. Maybe it can happen by DH's b-day (Aug 19).....we'll see.

Have a great weeekend ladies!
XOXO

Wow-Jillian and Nicole-congrats on your progress. Jillian-I am amazed at your perseverance!

I'll be back on the boards more cuz I will need your support. I've had some of the many appts I have to have before the surgery and have to lose 5% of my body weight prior to (about 16lbs)-which shouldn't be too much of a problem and I also need to start an exercise program which will be harder. Need to find things that don't make me hurt so much. So-this weekend is kinda busy but I'm going to get my kitchen in order and do some shopping and maybe stop by this new gym down the street that is advertising $15/month. I'm thinking an elliptical might work for me-as well as the bikes and rowing machine.

My goals with the nutritionist are:

More water
No more fast food (it's been awful since I move here to fast-food land-seriously, it's EVERYWHERE you turn!)
Start exercising
Use the "plate method"-1/4 lean meats/protein, 1/4 starch, 1/2 vegetables and fruit for dessert at dinnertime.
Frozen diet meals with fruit and salad at lunch
Protein shakes for breakfast.

They want you to lose weight to shrink the liver as much as possible to aid in the surgery.

Things are progressing really smoothly and this may actually happen in the fall!

I am copying your goals, JulieMarie - thanks for posting them. What gym is offering $15/month? I would love that rate and since we are so close .....

Keep up the good work everyone.

Roberts- It's on Cornell and 160th(ish)-it used to be a 24 hr fitness but it moved and the new one is called The Edge-which sounds like a bodybuilder gym or something. But I think I'll stop in and check it out.
