You ever feel like you have 5 million things you want to say but you don't know where to start or how exactly to go about it? Yeah, me too...

Anyway, maybe bullet points will help:

- Today was the first of my very long training walks for the Komen. I did about 20 miles. My feet are a little sore, but I felt pretty good. However, right now I can't imagine doing another 20 miles tomorrow and then another 20 miles after that (as I will have to do in 3 weeks). This year I didn't really do as much traing as I'd like, but I think I'll survive.

- My "real life" friend Jess is now on 3fcs! I told her awesome all of you are.

- Tomorrow is a cookout and it will be tough to be on plan. I'm going to try to do well and hopefully be fairly moderate.

- I've been holding steady at the same weight for a while now. I'm not too upset with it as I think it is giving me some good learning experiences on how to maintain. I'm nearing 3 years for this run and that is really hard for me to believe that. Its been 3 years of ups and downs, but I haven't given up and given in. My weight loss anniversary is Sept 17th and perhaps I can make "onederland" by then. For someone that at one time was over 400 pounds to see a number that starts with a 1 would be incredible

- Lots and lots of job stress recently and I need a good way of dealing with it. Thankfully I haven't turned to food as I might have in the past. Just trying to get through each day as best I can. I've been really busy and haven't been checking in here as much as I have in the past. Hopefully this will be changing soon.

Hi Matt,
I just donated $10.00 towards your Komen goal.
Come on girls, let's help him raise some money for breast cancer research.
You can donate by clicking on the link in his post. It's easy.
I think it's great that these guys he walks with are doing it as well.
Good luck, Matt!

As an added bullet point, just weighed in at 209.6! Truly within 10 pounds of a normal BMI

What I'm doing is so small compared to your 20 miles!! BUT...maybe the advice is the same. I just started walking 5 miles regularly and I was feeling it in my shins the first day. The second time I felt it a bit. Last night, it barely phased me at all. It gets easier each time, provided you're not walking injured or anything. I know you can do it!! 20 miles three times....goodness man! I like to think of that distance on an interstate. That takes you past several towns!

Congrats on finally seeing a new low! I'm glad to know you've been holding steady with 20 mile walks. It's encouraging to know that even the most dedicated of us struggle with those last few pounds.

Matt, you are one awesome guy.

I look forward to celebrating the 199 mark with you, whenever that is.

I applaud your efforts for breast cancer. My mother is coming up on her 10 year anniversary of first being diagnosed. I am away now but I too will definitely give a donation before this week is out.

Speaking of being away, make sure you've got a plan in place for you cookout. It's been going splendidly for me this weekend. For me, it's all about deciding ahead of time what I will and will not touch. My "definite no's" are my key to successfully navigating social situations and high temptation times.

And on a closing note, should have used your bullets - Matt, you are awesome. Yup, I said it again. It's worthy of the repeat. repeat. repeat....

You are awesome. You are awesome. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

I agree, I think that what you are doing is awesome too Matt. I did a similar fundraising walk once for the Arthritis Society, and I know how difficult the fundraising is. I already mad a small donation.

As far as the normal BMI, I bet you are already there. No-one loses as much as you without some extra skin, and that would account for some scale weight that is not actually fat. You are probably further along in your journey than you think. You are an inspiration to everyone here!

Hope your friend Jess stops in to say Hi!
