Default Question

HI there,

I'm new and found this site by doing a search. I have about 15lbs to loose and I want to attempt it on my own first because I don't have that much to loose. I'm just not sure about the amount of points I'm allowed per day, it seems kind of low.

I'm 33, female, 5'9 and weigh somewhere between 177lb-179lbs depending on water retention (I also gained 5lbs in the last month) so instead of loosing 10lbs, I now have 15lbs to loose.

So from what I can tell, I'm allowed only 24 points plus extra 35 points per week?

I ate really good/healthy today (fruit, veggies, chicken, non-fat yogurt, tuna) and I'm already at 33.5points by 6pm!! Mind you I still have to exercise which will be a minimum of 6points but I'm still over by 4points. I don't want to use my flex points because I have a wedding at the end of the week so I want to save the points for that day.

Just want to make sure that is correct amount of points. Also where is a good place to find menu and food ideas that have a WW points attached to them?

Lastly, are vegetables unlimited since they are 0 points (with the exception of a few)?

Thanks in advance!

This comes from the pocket planner:
What do you weigh? 178 = 17
Being female = 2
Your age = 3
How tall are you = 1

Do you spend most of your work day :
sitting = 0
occasionally sitting but mostly standing = 2
walking = 4
doing physically hard work = 6

are you a nursing mom? nursing only = 10
nursing and bottle 5

Many of us would love to have 24 points. You learn to get the most you can out of your daily points. I use most of my 35 weekly also and those tend to be used as snacks.

Thanks! 24 points is going to be hard, I have to choose lower point foods. I try to avoid processed foods and just stick with all natural foods, sometimes that means higher points (e.g cheese).

I'll try my best for this week while I get used to it and then go hardcore after the wedding. There are no serving sizes for zero points foods on WW webpage which I can't put up here: weightwatchers.ca/util/art/index_art.aspx?tabnum=1&art_id=36121&sc=3045
