Default exercise help

Okay....I have Winsor pilates on dvd which I did way back in high school and always saw great results as far as toning went, but I need a form of cardio...I had bought the slim in 6 dvd and i did it for about 2 weeks (lost 4 pounds) but it was really hard on my knees! I am on my feet all day at work and could hardly walk or bend down, all the lunges and bending down, so i had to stop that so I am looking for something else that won't be mean to my knees, any help?

Walking. Cheap and low impact.

If you don't want to walk outside, get some Leslie Sansone videos.

With the slim in 6 - is it your muscles that ache or the joints? If its the muscles, then that is usually a short term problem that goes away, but you have to push thru and keep the exercise up and not give up.

If its the knees then you do have to be careful not to cause further damage. But, you may try starting off slower, don't do such high impact (can't recall the series of they show someone doing the easier or lower impact version of the exercise or not, most of the beach body series do that though). Start off slow, do one video a week, and bring it down a notch. You may have to work up to doing the videos if you are not in good shape.
