Unhappy i REALLY want Panda Express :(

Today was supposed to be my ten thousandth "Day One," but now (of course because it's heading into the evening) i am CRAVING Panda Express. I am going to go get it, eat it all, and feel terrible after. Then I am going to plan how TOMORROW i will start losing weight this summer. That's a typical day of my 20 year old life. Pathetic right?

You really just have to STOP. I know that's easier said than done, but there's just no other way around it. No one can change your eating habits but you!

If this really is the millionth "day one" it time for some real discipline. You have to ask yourself "do I want to fail, yet again?" "will panda make me really feel better?" I tell you, if you can resist panda, just once, you will have succeeded, and chalk a win for you! The more wins you build up, the more confident you'll be! Don't give in! We are here to help you. Keep posting! Good Luck!

I say eat Panda Express...get the plain vegetables and eat them if you MUST have Panda Express! I eat these at my school sometimes. Mmmm, veggies! Low calorie, low cost and healthful!

It is time to say no!

You are accountable for what you eat, and you may want panda express now but in the long run you will probably feel horrible afterward.

Yeah but really is "tomorrow" ever going to come if this stays the same? In the beginning I was constantly going over my calories. I was eating stuff that I know I shouldn't have eaten and just kept telling myself "There's always tomorrow..." but I would keep doing the same thing and tomorrow never came until one day I just...realized what I had to do. And I did it. It's hard in the beginning but once you get the swing of things it's just second nature.

I am FAR from being a proponent of fast food, but seriously, there are reasonable options here! http://www.pandaexpress.com/images/p...nformation.pdf

After reading The End of Overeating by David Kessler, I'll never eat Panda Express again. You might try getting that book from the library. As I recall, he describes orange chicken as fat on sugar on fat on salt. Or, something like that. And what they do to the chicken makes it no longer seem like food to me.

As a whole, the book is about how modern "food" is engineered to be darn near irresistible to those of us who are susceptible to that sort of pull. It awakened in me a resolve to put myself back in charge of what goes in my mouth. And I was able to quit Panda Express and other fast food and junk food, cold turkey. It's very satisfying to think that I can, in a small way, subvert the crazed modern food industry by making my own Chinese food with chicken from a local friendly farmer.

Maybe you are trying to give up too much too fast. Take baby steps.
IF you want panda express- get it, just chose one of the under 250cals items.
When you make tiny changes they add up. Its not all or nothing!

I just looked at the information and I agree. I feel much less guilty about eating there now. You just have to stay away from the deep fried, breaded protein dishes.

Yes, you really must just stop. I can tell you that the cravings for the crap left me after two weeks or so. It isn't easy. But--OH. SO. WORTH. IT!!!!

Used to work there in high school. You know the tray that holds the sweet foods? Sweet & sour pork, honey chicken, etc? 16 CUPS of pure white processed sugar per batch. No joke~ saw it with my own eyes. And it makes a lot less than 16 cups of servings.... think about that for a moment

I also got fat working there too, especially because it was free for me. Learn to make your own alternatives, "real" Chinese food is surprisingly simple and healthy.

I know how you feel. This afternoon it was all I could do to walk away from starbucks. But I'm trying to keep away from the processed food.

It does get better... I've done this before. It's just those first few days breaking away that suck. It is like you go through withdrawal or something.

Whenever I start to crave something like that, I ask myself is this really going to make me happy? Is this really going to make me satisfied? Is this really going to make me happy when I look at myself in the mirror or look at the scale?

I would say this works 99.9% of the time now. Now I crave stuff like vegetables or veggie patties or something healthier.
