Default Remotivation Tip

So as I've traveled through this journey my food preferences have changed dramatically. 6 months ago I would have had a salad, not because I wanted to but because that is what you're supposed to do when you're trying to lose weight. Now I crave them. So now was a perfect time for me to start exploring some new foods for several reasons. My current food choices were getting boring, I was getting frustrated with my level of weight loss and I was too focused on weight loss and not focusing on health and nutrition. So with some great advice of all the wonderful people on this board I started looking at new ways to revamp my eating and in the process have been having SO much fun with new foods and recipies including whole, clean and super foods. A few months ago I would have said "Oh, whole foods, clean foods, super foods, that is just too much for me, too obsessive, too health nutty." But the recipies I've been trying have been so much tastier (they probably wouldn't have been a few months ago, but now that I can appreciate that stuff I've enjoyed them so much), so much better for my body and I feel like I'm fueling myself instead of just eating to make the hunger go away. I'm fueling myself for my next work out session or my next run. All of this has completely remotivated me and really taken my focus away from the weight loss, that is just really secondary at this point. So as you get closer to your goal or even now if you're ready (I get it if you're not, it took me 4.5 years to get here) give what your eating an examination. Are you really making the best choices you can make, because a calorie is not just a calorie. My attitude and enery levels have exploded these last few days and TOM is going to be here anyday! I have to believe that it's because of the quality and types of foods I've been eating. I've also kicked my most recent stalls A#$ in the last few days. So if you're bored and need something to excite you give it some thought! Ok, enough rambling, have a good week everyone!

ETA: I may have gone off the deep end though, I was reading the ingrediants on the package (I know package = bad) of something I was about to eat and thought "hmmm...I wonder if I could just make this myself so there'd be less processed stuff..." and I'm a convenience freak...make it myself...are you kidding. Oh and thanks to Stella, I made my own granola this weekend...I'm not sure I know who I am anymore

Great tip! Thanks.

I'm really trying to change my food obsession into food for fuel. I'm not quite there yet, but that is my goal.
