Default FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFriday Chat

Couldn't think of a suitable F alliteration for today so let's pick our own. Mine will be fruitful Friday as I hope to get some local strawberries later today. There was no rain yesterday and today is looking good so berries should be available.

Donna was her yesterday morning so my house is spiffy again. It had dried up enough by afternoon to do some work outside so I got my new front bed weeded. Today I will be outside as soon as breakfast is over! My plants must either go into the garden this weekend or go into the compost pile!

How does your Friday look? Fantastic? Frustrating? Frantic?

Goodness, Ruth! You had me frightened with all those ffffs at first!
I hope your day is Fruitful and you're able to get all your planting done. Our strawberry season is over, but now the blueberries, blackberries and cherries are coming in.

I plan to get the upstairs cleaned this morning, then I want to run to the library to look for some good reading material and check out the travel section. I'm thinking of taking my dad out to lunch someplace, too, for Father's Day. It's supposed to be hot this afternoon, so the rest of the day will be spent in my pool. Amber has 1/2 day of school today on her last day, so I'm hoping she'll come over and swim with me.

Oh boy, I forgot Sunday was Father's Day! I guess I have to do something about it :-). My husband actually has already chosen his Father's Day present (a weekend riding quads with his brothers in July) so I don't think I have to actually come up with a gift, maybe just a good dinner and a card. Anyway, he deserves it.

I'd considered measuring this morning after being on plan all week but AF is about to come stay so I'll wait until next week I think. We've got our retreat today at work which will be interesting. They are serving lunch, but it's at Morton's, so I know I can get a grilled fish or steak with some veggies. Hope everyone has a wonderful day...

Faaaabbbulous!

Ruth, we have some great strawberry farms here as well. That would be something great to do with the DD! I'm wondering if she would eat more than she picks though . I'll have to make sure the fruit is still available...

Cottage - that would be lovely to see your dad for lunch. Enjoy!

Me - last day with the boss away!! It's been a busy week, so I'm looking forward to the weekend. It's funny, I've been less 'paranoid' about my eating this week, but I've done better!

It is an absolutely beautiful morning here....a nice crisp 51 degrees, so I'm in a blankie right now . Have a lovely day!!

Good morning Actually I'm waiting for Mom to get up so I can go make my coffee. Don't want to wake her if she's sleeping in but I could sure use a pot!

Ruth - I hope to pick when I get home. I'm definitely drying some again. They were sooo good in cereal. I'm going to freeze this year too. Enjoy your day

Cottage - Enjoy the pool and the rest of your day

Matilda - Hope something good comes out of your retreat

Twynn - love the new pic!

I don't know yet what our day will hold. Depends on how Dad is doing. yesterday was mostly a washout because the rain just wouldn't go away. Mom and I did a little thrifting (of course) and i did squeeze a bike ride in once the sun came out.

now I just need coffee. Happy Friday Chicks!

Way behind here, but far from frantic-it just doesn't help. Today is packing day for my friend but we're trying to get to the pool first. I did get some hanging baskets planted while I was ignoring you all this morning.

Have a FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFantastic FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFun FFFFFFFFFFFFilled day everyone!

Good morning,

Ruth- have fun Strawberry picking

Cottage- enjoy the pool today

Matilda- enjoy your retreat today, we had one on Tuesday ended up getting rained out half way through.

Twynn- good for you with eating better, I too love your new pic.

Cyndi- Hope you have a good day with your parents.

As for me I get to do wfh today yeah, this Friday and next Friday and then no more scheduled wfh but my boss said I could do on need basis so I will live with that.

ETA- Hi Debbie we were posting at the same time- hope you have a great day

The doctor called and all of my test results were fine except for my pap came back abnormal so I have to go see the specialist now.

Interesting information for me though is that I read an article on Splenda this past weekend that said a side effect is weight gain. I have been gaining weight like crazy lately and have been working out more and watching what I eat. Monday I eliminated Splenda and sucralose from my diet and so far this week I have lost 3 lbs with no other changes to my diet. I am eating Phase 2 not Phase 1 as well and next week is also tom which for me the week before I get bloated........interesting to me so I am going to continue with eliminating this from my diet and see where it takes me.

Have a great day everyone

Hi all,
Pool again today. We skipped yesterday since we're all such ghosties and I get nervous with too much sun on the little guy--even with slathering all the spf 60. I FINALLY went to the podiatrist yesterday and it is plantar fasciitus and a heel spur. So runnning and walking are out for a bit. But I can swim to my heart's content. Still hanging out at 179--

I am so jealous of you ladies that have these lovely crisp mornings! Our mornings are just a little bit better than our afternoons with the humidity being so high...
