I remember when I first started thinking about this idea. I was working through the exercises in "
The Four Day Win", and one of them was how to deal with a craving, or a wanting of "more" or "seconds".
You imagine to yourself a room filled with whatever you're craving. Filled to the brim, always there for you to get some when you need it. It isn't forbidden. It isn't going away. It's always there for you.
Then, after you imagine that for a time, you determine whether you still want some, or you can wait for another time. Nine times out of ten, I can wait, and the craving goes away, because I'm not "restricting" or "forbidding" the food. And if I want it, I enjoy a small portion (three bites of bliss), then log it into my calories for the day.
This can backfire if you find yourself allowing more and more "treats." But if it's within your plan/calories/etc, it's very do-able.
