Default NSV-first complete mile

well, i never thought of myself as a runner, and only grudgingly as a sprinter, but in the last month I've been working on running because I don't feel like walking does ANYTHING for me anymore. I could walk 3 hours and maybe the bottoms of my feet would hurt but that's it.

So I've been working on being able to run a mile. The first time I did it in 5 sections, had to walk in between a lot. Today was the first day I went the whole way without stopping, and to top it off, I didn't feel like a cow with heatstroke when I was done.

Yay!

Awesome job! The first time I ran a mile the whole way through, it was awesome! It was hard, but I felt great afterwards. Now I run the first mile, then I do walk/run intervals for 2 more miles, then I run the last half a mile to my car. My calves hurt and I'm usually out of breath and sweating like a stuck pig, but running gets results for me, period.
