Default venting out...

hi .. i have lost 20 lbs before to the point i was some what HAPPY with my body. And then gained it all back and then some. Now i am the same road loosing it again BUT now i have a great obstacle along with it - i am not motivated AT ALL. That is all because now i have to go to the gym in the morning (8am) and not as i used to go (which was at 3pm). I am a night person and at 8am even though i am may be awake, my whole body is still snoozing. I cant give 100% at the gym because of that. Not even close. And i am not motivated to do anything in the morning. But thats the only time i can be at the gym daily if i have to. But mornnings just killing me with lack of enthusiasm. Today i just walked 1.5 miles with speed of 3 and i was done. NOrmally i would walk/run 3 miles when i used to go in the evennings and i always wanted to do more. Now i am just Blaahh! and i know its the morning for me!

Any ideas?

Keep up with the new schedule and you'll adjust. I never worked out in the mornings--I HATED getting up early--but after a month I was rolling out of bed at 6AM with no problems and getting in a great workout.

Try to do your usual 3 mile walk/run is the morning & add a little bit of extra too, like strength training or a few minutes on a rowing machine. Once you see how good you feel after a good morning workout, you might get hooked.

My morning workouts make me feel good all day. And I am a total night owl.

For me morning workouts are becoming more essential because I have a busy social life in the evening. And for me it's not safe to be running in the city at 10 pm at night because of the cars who can't see me.
