Default Tried on a size 12 jean.....and it fit!!!!

I am so darned excited I can't sit still . While I waited for my son to get thru his guitar lesson today, I roamed around the mall. I wandered into Sears and was just looking at the women's clothing.

When I started WW on Dec 29th, 2009, I was wearing a TIGHT pant size 14/16 and TBH most of them, the ones I could breathe in anyway, were solid size 16's. Soon I noticed that the 14's fit well. A couple weeks ago, my husband commented that my pants looked loose.

Well while in Sear's I decided to be brave. I grabbed a size 12 jean and went into the dressing room.

THEY FIT!!!!!!!! Now they were the slightest bit snug, but nothing that would make me not wear them. I am sooo excited. I have been at a plateau the last three weeks. Gain .4, then lose 1lb. and repeat. Very frustrating. I was upset until I realized that although my weight loss has slowed, my body shape has shifted....AND I LOVE IT!!!!!

Congratulations! Something about getting into smaller jeans that is more of a charge than any other clothing item! I am on a similar path. I started last June when I could barely get into my 14 jeans. Now my 10's are a little loose so I'm going for a size 8 next! Maybe we should start a jean swapping site on 3FC!! Again, way to go!

Ooooo, I love the jean swapping idea!!! Especially since I have been noticing that a lot of us here are "shorter". I have a hard time paying $22/up for jeans right now because I know that I will be needing smaller ones soon. And trying to find "petite" length is hard enough, LOL!

Way to go EVERYONE!!!!

Just a suggestion... I dress very fashionably and some of my clothes come from a great Goodwill store down the street. I get my already broken in and smaller size jeans from there for $4.99! Try it while you are losing.

Cglass, great idea about shopping at goodwill during our journeys. I know it would hurt to pay anything more than $20 for a pair of jeans we don't plan on wearing that long & once we've met our goal....go on a MAJOR shopping spree
