Red face Sabotage

Not really but sometimes I think it feels that way. Just need to vent it out.

Started the month at 144 and ended at 142. So not great - but it still went down. I was sick - with my new found painful ovulation - and then I went on vacation for a week. I was able to maintain during those two weeks so that is something!

When I got back from vacation I went and had a physical done to see if I could see what was going on with my new found pain. Turns out I have an underactive thyroid. IDK when it started but it could be why I have been not able to lose as much in the last few months - or that could be just things slowing down as I get closer to my goals. IDK - but I am starting on some new meds. Only been a week so no ideas yet.

THEN - I get this nasty cold/flu bug and have been down for the last few days.

Just would like to get back on track of eating and exercising. I miss my running but when ya can breathe because your head is so stuffed it makes it difficult. I pushed through some yesterday and did 45 on the elliptical but I paid the price the rest of the day and no way I could have actually ran for that long.

So hopefully I can take two steps forward this month and stay there!

Thanks for letting me vent

first, I think 2 lbs when you are so close to goal AND went on vacation AND were sick is pretty good, so maybe the first thing is give yourself some credit for what you did accomplish!

But hope that this month works out better in terms of trying out the new meds and feeling well - you are so close to goal, that is fantastic and I know you'll get there soon.

Hang in there. You're doing great and should be kinder to yourself. Read your post and look at all you've had in your way this month. A few weeks in the long run won't make any ifference. It sounds like you are on track as much as possible given your circumstances; it would be unfair to expect more of yourself .

Hang in there!! Since January I was sick for weeks and went on two vacations myself. Life happens and we just need to carry on.

Maintaining on vacation is awesome. GREAT!

Stay positive.

Keep moving as much as you can.

Remember that losing weight is 80% food... so control that and you'll be okay.

You didn't fail this month! You practised maintainance mode.

It may be frustrating to you, but really, you're only going to be in weight loss mode for the next month or so, whereas you'll be in maintenance mode for the rest of your life! It's important to know that you can survive travel and sickness without putting on weight.

True Couch! Something I have to start adjusting to - kind of a scary next step though!
