I did it before but I was so hungry that I couldn't stick it out for the 2 weeks, and by the time dinner came along I ate loads because I was starving all day! If you have your "balanced meal" at lunch it might work better, I was never able to so I think thats why I was so hungry by dinnertime

I haven't tried it but it seems as though you wouldn't get proper nutrition from eating mostly cereal. And it isn't sustainable for a long period of time.

I tried it for like a day, I was staaaaarving. But I do like their cereal for breakfast. It's good to incorporate into calorie counting or weight watchers

Well, I didn't check the info on all of their cereals, but the Original flavor has less than 1 gram of fiber per serving. That is not enough to help you feel full and satisfied. High fiber is an important part of my weight loss plan.

Its not filling at all. No bang for your calorie buck with that cereal. I can see being VERY hungry on any diet that involves substituting special K for a meal.

I really like their Protein Plus cereal (10g protein and 5g fiber for 100 calories) with 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (.5g protein and .5g fiber for 20 calories). I wouldn't follow their diet though. Most of the items they list are too low in fiber and protein to stave off hunger, and drinks/bars as meal replacements are never satisfying for me.

Smile ..

I LOVE special K. I buy the chocolate cereal, and all the different flavors of the special K bars. You can have 2 cups of cereal for a meal, and be under 300 calories. It keeps me full untill the next meal, BUT everything works different for everyone.

i can see two problems with the special K diet:

1. two meals of special K a day would have me starving most of the time

2. it's not really nutritiously balanced for a day plan

even they say not to do it over long periods of time

i was also very surprised the other day when i figured out that instead of special K i could have the same amount of alpen sugarfree muesli for less kcals, and get more benefits out of them.

100grams of special K: 379 kcals, 2g fibre
100 grams of alpen: 352 kcals, 7.8g fibre

i believe alpen may be higher than special K in terms of fat, but i think personally they taste better and you cannot lose with the fibre.

My grandmother lost quite a bit of weight on it. She would just have her bowl of special K and cup of coffee every morning. Smallish lunch and dinner. She went off it after a while, though...

I bet this would work if you stuck to it. It sounds like it's not enough food though.
