Default Calories in 1/2 packed Tsp

So the Splenda Brown Sugar package says 10 cals in a 1/2 packed Tsp. I'm having a loosly packed Tbsp. So I'm figuring that to be 60 cals, do you agree?

Wouldn't a 1/2 packed Tsp. just be a packed 1/2 Tsp. and a Tbsp would be 6 1/2 Tsp's. This is so stupid, why would they list it that way?

Ncuneo, your calculations are right and I agree that it's a silly way to list the nutritional information.

I'm confused by the confusion!! lol! Splenda is sweeter than sugar, so you wouldn't use nearly a whole teaspoon ful for the equivalent of a tsp of sugar, so even with the brown sugar added, 1/2 tsp has been a normal serving for me to add to oatmeal, etc.

It's not a huge calorie difference from plain brown sugar, but I figure every little bit helps!
