Default I've got the ADDTE!!!! help!!

So Im sitting here sad and lonely, again yay. My husband is on his 6th month of deployment and Im in the mid deployment hump. I have been going to the gym about five days a week for the past month and a half. Let just say that I have a short attention span when it comes to working out. Like ADDTE which if your creative you can guess what that means ADD to exercise. I depressed and already burned out. This is a bummer! I need so encouragement or ideas on how to make it exciting again! Thanks!

I'm sorry; I just noticed that this thread has no replies, and boy I just hate it when that happens to me. So I didn't want this one to go reply-less.

Add music, is my best suggestion. It helped me double my time on the bike, practically overnight.

Sometimes I put my laptop on my treadmill and watch a funny movie. But I think the best is to go run in a park. Borrow a friend's dog...or, heck! Borrow a friend! Go on an ADVENTURE somewhere you've never been!*

*bring your cell phone and tell someone where you've gone.

I have many days like this and I find music is my best coping technique. Get on some rockin bouncin tracks and I can't help but be lifted and end up just getting on with things and singing at the top of my voice (much to hubby's dismay!).

These kind of days suck, but you need to fight against them. Find a number of coping techniques that work for you and make sure they are easy to put in place as soon as you start losing energy and enthusiasm.

Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.

The gym that I go to is owned by a husband and wife. The wife is there during the day, which is when I go. When I get restless or bored with my routine, I tell her and she helps me to switch things up or try new and different things. That REALLY helps me a lot.
