I find it makes me feel ooooold. Especially the figure skaters and gymnasts. I'm old enough to be the mother of an Olympic athlete. When did that happen?

I think it is inspiring. Especially when they do a cameo and show some of the training and work and dedication it takes to get to where they are today. It kind of puts into perspective my whining because I'm tired and don't want to get on the treadmill.

I am 25 and a huge gymnastics fan and it seemed like one day I was younger than all the gymnast and then the next day I woke up and was older than all of them. Very depressing.
I agree, its like if they can work out 4-6 hours a day surely I can work out 30-60 minutes.

I live in BC. It just makes me feel angry lol! I have 14 schools shutting down in my community due to cutbacks made in order to PAY for the Olympics. Grrrr... and as a person in this province can't even afford to GO as they've raised all the hotel prices during that time to around $700 a NIGHT if you try to book now!!!

Yah... don't get me started on the bloody olympics.

I love watching them. It always amazes me and serves as a fantastic reminder of what the human body, mind and spirit can accomplish when in perfect sync. We are made to be so much more than we give our selves credit for or permission to be.

Not at all here. The Olympics make me feel like sh*t.......i haven't enjoyed watching them since like 6th grade. I've always wanted to be int he olympics......weather it was gymnastic, ice skating, or track n field. I always wanted to be an Athlete.......
Even when i was a little overweight in jr high, i was the 2nd fastest kid in my grade.....only one girl, a friend of mine, could beat me! haha. I should of tried out for track n field....i probably wouldn't be obese right now, if i would of. v_v So yah, i hate the olympics as of 10 years ago....rofl. I hope to get over that......dunno though o_o

I like the olympics, but to my mind the athletes there are very elite (of course). I get inspired by the Iron (Wo)Man races. I have a friend who has done them.

I like watching the Olympics but don't really feel inspired by them. I think elite athletes like that are rare and special and I can't aspire to what they do.

On the other hand, watching the Biggest Loser inspires me a lot. They are just people, BIG people, doing things that I can do too, if I just work at at hard enough.
