I made this one night last week and it was soooo good!
1 head of cabbage
3-4 slices of bacon
1/2 red onion (more or less for your taste)
1/3 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
fry bacon in pan and then remove when crispy. Add onion and cook for a few minutes then add shredded cabbage and water. Put a lid on it until it cooks down stirring occassionally. I like to cook my cabbage until very tender and almost browns a little from bacon grease. salt and pepper to your taste. You may want to remove some of the bacon grease also if your bacon made a lot. It really gives it a good flavor though. After cabbage is done then put bacon back into pan and toss and serve.

i make this alot and use a little bit of seasoned salt and a little bit of garlic salt but i just use the bacon grease and cabbage i don't use any water if you cover the pan it steams til tender but either way it's one of my fav's
