Default A little update

So it has been 3 mos and 2 weeks since my surgery. I feel great. Am finally getting enough protein and water in. YAY.

Last night I did something I would never ever have done at my highest weight. I went to a Salsa dancing class with an ex boyfriend. He has been taking them from months and took me along last night. Let me just say I have two left feet and I feel bad for those poor people who had to deal with me last night. He took me to a intermediate class and I have never danced like this ever! What a work out that was. I hurt all over this morning. Who knew?

Wed is my first day with a personal trainer and I am really looking forward to try and get the last of my weight off and get in better shape. Hopefully it will help with my skin too.

As for the weight I have hit the wall. I haven't lost anything in a few weeks, but I also have not gained. Total from my highest weight I am down 92lbs. I really only have around 45lbs more to go. Well if you ask the doc he says 59lbs, but I think I will look like an evil skeleton if lose that much. We will see. I am fitting in to size 14 now.. I would like to be in a 9/10 by May when I go home for the first time in 9 years. Maybe I will, maybe I won't , but unless I work out it will not happen. So I am on the bandwagon.

How much did you lose since surgery? We are out about the same amount of time. I am out 13 weeks.

I think she meant "lift" and was cautioning you for your first personal trainer session.

Congrats on your progress thus far!!

Sounds like you are doing great! And going out salsa dancing - good for you! I don't know if I could do that at any weight - I've got two left feet.

51 lbs in three months is just amazing and very inspiring. Is it ok if I ask what kind of WLS you had? It sounds like you are very happy with the results and feeling great! I'm sure you'll make your final goals! (And, yeah, go with what final weight feels 'right' to you, not what your doctor says you should weigh based on some chart.)

Mama I had gastric bypass. roux-en-y.. I am very happy with my results. Yesterday I started with a personal trainer to get my body fat down and build up my muscles again. My nutritionist is saying that if I lose like 26 more lbs my body fat will be in a normal range. It should take me another couple of months but I will be fantastic! yay

Salsa dancing sounds like fun!

sounds like you are doing GREAT.

I love working with my personal trainer. I work with her twice a week. very expensive and VERY worth it.

I lost 11 pounds between thanksgiving and new years... BUT I also gained 2 pounds of muscle mass... I'm only down about 48 pounds since surgery but I've gone from a tight size 26 to a size 18 so far....

Nessa great to hear !!! I am glad it is going well for you. Today was the first time I showed weight gain, which startled me a bit. But I am keeping on with the fitness.

Salsa lessons were a ball! Wow what a work out!
