Default An interesting tip to cut fat....

Cool Your Cans

Refrigerate canned meats, soups, gravies, and other canned foods containing fat. The fat will rise to the top and collect, so you can scrape it off.
Found at Men's Health Magazine site. I've never thought of this but I might give it a try because I end up eating canned soup often at work when I don't have time to cook and bring homemade food.

I do this every time. It also helps the flavor. I posted somewhere else on here that I wonder exactly, or a good estimate of how many calories does it take off?

Well, I know that fat provides 9 calories per gram, so maybe if you take out the fat, you could weigh it and then, remove those calories from the entire thing (not just per serving, obviously).

Meh, I'm lazy, I'd just take the fat off but count the same number of calories and just consider it a "bonus." But I can see how it could be a problem if you're really into being exact.
