I'm kind of curious too. Does this use less oil to make lower fat food or what?

It looks really cool, but not the $300 pricetag.

It looks like it is a "walk-away" frying/sauce pan, with a continuous stirring element.

So for any sautees, stir fries or anything that needs constant stirring, it would be nice to be able to walk away and let the gadget do the stirring for you... but I think I'd rather save the $300 and do my own stirring.

I make awesome french fries with only a tablespoon of fat too.

I preheat the oven to about 400 to 450 degrees (depending on how close I want to watch the oven. I think they turn out better at the higher temp - but they burn more easily - so if I can't keep really careful watch, I'll set the oven lower). I cut potatoes in strips or use frozen french fries (got to check the labels though to make sure oil isn't already added). I just add the amount I want into a large gallon ziploc or a tupperware container - add my one tablespoon of oil and shake like mad (to distribute the oil). Open the bag or container and add any seasoning I like (sometimes just salt, sometimes Lawry's seasoning salt or a similar seasoning blend, or some ranch dressing powder). Close up the bag or container and shake again.

I pour the potatoes into a foil lined baking dish (for easy clean-up - you don't have to use foil) and bake until they're brown and tender (I start checking them at about 15 minutes).

Goodness, I didn't even see the price! You're right Kaplods, much better to do it myself!

I am also intrigued
Does anyone have tried it?

It looks like you can do more than French fries. On the TV commercial they spoke about meat, veggies and risotto. I love risotto but I usually stay away from it...

Any feedback from a user??
