Unhappy Please Pray! Kitty ran away.

****kitty found! See post below! Thanks again for the prayers!!!****

Please Pray. My kitty Abigail ran away. My son let her out, and then he ran in the house and FORGOT about her. Dogs were roaming the neighborhood today and I am really worried!

She never goes out. She is the whitest white, with blue eyes, and very timid.

My son is so sad, he knows he did a bad thing. He LOVES that cat. I love her and want her home!!! So sad. I still have to study and take a big test--so pray for me to focus and get my kitty back!

Good thoughts your way....I'm so sorry to hear this. This happened to my kitty who I just brought home and got out. I didn't sleep all night! My kitty came home the next morning. Keep in mind that they can still climb trees if they don't have front claws, and that they can hide. If this is kitty's first time out, kitty might just be lying low til morning. Keep us updated...

Put up signs all over your neighborhood with pictures, offer a reward (don't specify dollar amount) and put on the sign that she is sick and needs daily medication (that way if someone finds her they won't be as tempted to keep her because she might be expensive to maintain). Good luck.

Oh no! Praying for you that kitty will stay safe and come home ASAP. I would be totally freaked out if either of mine got out.

Put some food outside, she will probably stay close. Most indoor cats don't roam far because they are scared. So, calmly and quietly go looking, in a 3-4 house radius thinking "where could I hide" and you might find her!

If you can find one, get a live trap (you might be able to borrow one from a rescue), bait it with tuna fish or some other very yummy stinky food.

Definitely put up flyers and posters. Contact the Humane Society and local rescue groups and let them know she is missing and to call you if a white/blue eyed cat gets turned in.

When you get her back, consider getting her microchipped!

omg, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

After, SO left to go to Parents, and the house got quiet (very loud today with leaf blowing, and Football....)

I went outside searching again. I called her repetetively..and finally I heard her meowing--she had somehow gotten under the trailer. (she is houdini cat and and can get under closed doors). I removed underpinning and she came meowing up to me! Thank you Lord!

My son is ecstatic now!

Thanks so much!!!

good advice...we had already started this at dusk...I KNEW she would meow to me if she heard me. I was very blessed, she was under my trailer...she was stuck--silly cat.

Oh how scary and stressful, so glad you got her back. I have one that announces to the world that she is going outside. I live in an apartment and any time she has ever slipped out, she screams to let me know she's out, then goes straight up the steps to the second floor apartments...very easy to catch. I have a 6 month old kitten that I worry a little more with the door because she's not as clingy so I don't know how easy it would be to catch her. My dog and older cat are microchipped and the baby cat is getting hers in December when she goes in to be spayed.
