Default surprising (small) NSV!

A couple days ago my SO and I were catching up after a week of not seeing each other. Exercise is really important to both of us so we were talking about our exercise routines and how we did for the week.

Anyway, I was surprised (and really pleased!) when my SO said, "You work out harder than I do!" And then he added... "It's starting to show. You look good."

I hugged him immediately. It was so nice to hear because I haven't actually lost ANY weight on the scale yet and have only lost a few inches, so sometimes I feel like I'm struggling for no reason. But he told me that I'm looking good! Even if I can't see that much of a difference, somebody else can! Something is happening here and I'm getting in better shape!!

Just wanted to share, this is my first victory along my weight-loss journey so I just had to try to garner some high-fives.

Well, consider yourself high-fived! I know we're doing this for ourselves and all that jazz, but it's really, really nice to get some external acknowledgment, and even better when it's from someone who loves you.

And don't knock those few inches lost--each and every one counts and they will soon start to add up. Good going!

Good for you! Sounds like you're off to a really good start! There's nothing better than to see results - except maybe for someone else to see it!

And don't worry about what shows on the scale - it doesn't tell the whole story - with your workouts you are adding muscle as well as losing pounds and inches. You are definitely doing something right for it to be obvious to your guy - and how great is he to support and encourage you!

Keep up the good work and let us know how you're doing - I know you'll be at your goal before you know it!

Thank you to sawa and leeway and elaine -- your support means a lot! I can't wait to see more results and it helps to know other people want me to get them too.

Way to go!!! Those compliments make you feel great don't they. It is always helpful to get someones input on how they see us. When we can't see it for our selves. Keep up the good work.
