Good morning all! I'm excited because I just talked to Nurtisystem and any of the foods I don't like, that I have duplicate of, I can exhange for foods I do like! I'm just glad that I don't have to waste any money.
Ok-on the jeans vs dress pants/swets- I have to agree with Lilion I love Jeans! I own about 12 pair (I did mention earlier that I am a clothes horse?) I get my jeans from lane bryant- they go up to a 28 in stores and I think at 34 in catalog. I wear a 26/28 and they are so comfortable. I wear my jeans tight---If my pants fit right, I look better in ones that are tight on the butt--and i get the flared or boot cut because they make my legs look more shapley. They are the only jeans I wear, I can't get anywhere else to fit right. Well- I'm going to school to buy my last text books before school starts, plus I need to ship back the food I don't like, and I plan on going to a movie sometime today (oh yeah- and I'm supposed to clean) busy day- eveyone have a good one- I'll check back in later! |
How do you spell swets---sweats? sweets? forget it...you all no what i mean  (I hope)

I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately, I have been in a funk (I posted about it in the 100lb club) and I am trying to dig myself out of it. Good thing is this morning I weighed at 267 but I want to wait until next week until I record that as official.
As for jeans, sweatpants and dress pants: I have never worn sweat pants. I am a jeans girl. I also have lots of jeans. I also wear dress pants. I can fit a size 22 jean but a size 20 pant. Also skirts I can wear a 16 or 18 depending on the skirt. I usually go by my dress pant size since I find dress pants to be more consistant than jeans in sizing. I also like to wear my jeans tighter than I'd wear my dress pants. |
Good Friday to everyone. First of all thanks to Ammi, Nancy, and everyone else (still trying to learn names) who had suggestions for getting those workouts in. What a great idea to walk while watching TV...I love to walk to Leslie Sansone, why can't I just walk to any old show? THANK YOU!
As for the jeans, I just visited Dress Barn for the first time and I found wonderful jeans. 24 fit just right (no sucking in first!) - I bought two pairs. I thought Dress Barn has some clothes especially for those of us that have to dress up for work. I have never been one for sweats. Tonight I hope to post a pic. I thought I had done that, but it didn't take. My husband will be watching Sci-fi tonight for 2 hours so I will be here trying to catch up! I am so glad I joined this forum and look forward to getting to know you all better! |
hey guys!!
I only have a minute. I wanted to take a break and catch up with you all before I start my housework. I have 3 glorious days to clean before my maid starts on Monday. Makes sense huh? *L* Well, I just want to get a few things organized and stuff before the weekend is over and I rented 6 movies so guess what I am doing :) Jeans vs pants... well I like jeans but only the ones with a bit of stretch. They feel so much more comfy than regular denims. I am in a 26/28 right now but have a couple of pairs of 24's lying in wait. Got some pretty good news. Went for my interview last evening at Penningtons (plus sized clothing retail store). The job is mine as long as my references pan out which I have no doubt they will. Its only min wage but thats ok cause I am still keeping my other job and I get 50% off!!!!! Anyway, I have to clean but will be back for some personals in a bit. TTYL! Brenda:wave: |
Okay, so I finally figured out to scroll to the end of the pages in order to read past the whole "welcome" bit lol.
My name is Jamila and I am new to this site. I did post last nite about exercise tips. Everyones suggestions are fantastic. I will let you all know how it goes. question: How do I go about getting my own weight loss bar (at the end of everyones signature)? Talk to you soon, plese dont get sick of me, I will be here a lot. ~Jamila |
Hiya Jamila .. WELCOME!!
Okee . up the top of your page you will see a lilac/purple tab bar across almost the top .. on the first tab is "USER CP" ... Click on that it will take you to your personal info etc page ... down the left side are different links and the top one will be "EDIT SIGNATURE" .. click on that .. you will see a sample of the ticker at the top .. if you click on that you will go to a new page where you put in your info (start weight, todays weight, goal weight), then the next screen will show you the back bars, the screen after that will show you different characters to put on your chosen bar .. right .. so when you have done that you will have a new page come up with a bunch of writing on it.. In the first box of "code" you will need to highlight all the info that is in it, copy that. You then need to go back to your "EDIT SIGNATURE" page, below the sample of the ticker is another of the text boxes just paste your copied code into there. You may like to write something in it first like "mini goal weight" or "ultimate goal weight" then the next line down paste it in :) Also .. instead of having to redo it every time you lose weight .. just go to your EDIT SIGNATURE page and scroll along that pasted info .. you will find a set of 3 numbers (in my case it would look like this - 323/220/306 - for my ultimate goal) ... just change the last number to your new weight and save it :) If you are having any trouble just holler :) Good luck and have a great time on the boards! Just here for a minute - I figured out how to put my pic and customize my sliders even more!
Jamila: Welcome. It is my first week here too and just getting settled in. You will like it here - eveyone is so great, helpful, and supportive! |
In a Jeans vs Dress Pants vs Sweats ... I like them all depending on my mood ... definitely like the jeans more after they have been "broken in" lol .. but I love my black dress pants and have about 3-4 pairs of the same style rofl, I wear them most often, if I am cleaning or doing something that I will get grubby doing .. then I wear my sweats .. I have 2 pairs of those .. actually they also get put on when I am having a "Fat" day .. just when I feel blah and fat ... fortunately I havent really had one of those days for a month now :) I have 3 pairs of jeans .. 2 have elastic at the waist and they are 24s, the other one doesnt and thats a size 22 .. I havent even tried getting those on for umm .. about 2 years omg ... so that is my goal for Xmas ... although I doubt I will be wearing them now until next year cos its too hot at Xmas to wear em rofl .. but I will still try them on Xmas morning before we get on the road for the 2 hour journey to my mums.
I hate wearing skirts/dresses with a vengence lol .. unless it comes right down to my ankles, then I tolerate it ... but .... humm .. just thinking about it ... I think I have only 2 skirts somewhere in the back of beyond known as my wardrobe .. but they havent seen the light of day for years either rofl ... actually I remember packing them when we were moving .. dont remember unpacking them tho rofl ... One thing I do realise is tho that I should have bought size 22 dress pants cos Im hiking them up all the time now rofl (I bought 24s). |
I don't have much time but wanted to stop in. I just went to the gym and did my weekly weigh in and I'm down 4.5 pounds!!! I'm so excited-I was scared I wouldn't see any loss- I don't feel thinner at all.
Question: I decided to use the pool today- and I had planned to swim laps for an hour and barely made it 30 minutes out of bordem. those of you who swim, what do you do? Misty- I know you swim a lot- any ideas would be great- as i'm trying to expand my excercise possibilities. Gotta run- TTFN (ta-ta-for now) |
Congrats.. Kimpossible--- you are doing great!
Ok I am here to say hello and goodbye ( for at least four days) :) my first major exam is on Monday and i will be off the internet until then. Need, to study every minute I can get. Take care ladies and I should be able to breath on Monday night.....................I hope |
Greetings all,
Thanks to everyone who responded to my strength training and dog seizure woes. My dog started getting seizures at age 4 (she is 7 now), but she only has them 5-6 times a year. They are getting worse, so I think eventually she will need to be on medication for them. No one quite knows why she is having them. Misti, I've never known anyone with the same DDD affliction. I can't wait to lose a D or two. Missy, wow on the pic. Just wow. You are looking fabulous. The walking is evident. Nelie, I hope you are feeling better. I've had a bad week as well and will definitely not lose this week. I love your posts, so I hope to see you around again. Kim, woo-hoo on the 4.5lb loss! Good for you! You mention a good point; one that I was complaining about tonight. When have you guys started feeling thinner? I definitely don't feel thinner and my clothes don't feel any different as well. Kenya, good luck on the exam. Hello to everyone popping in for the first time. This is a wonderful place to visit. As for me, I'm a jeans girl, though I haven't been able to wear them for awhile. If I can find a pair that fits my waist (rarely), then the legs are too big and sloppy. I am hoping to find a pair before Xmas, though. Have a good day tomorrow all! |
Kenya- good luck on the test- since you probably won't read this until well after you've taken it- I'm sure you did good
Jen-I think in the midst of my interviews and trying to keep up with work I missed saying hello- that is such a good question, when do you really start to see the results that are coming on the scale--I know so many of you out there have knocked away more than 50 pounds--I hope you start to see results before then. I'm down 15 and I don't feel thinner at all. It's so weird how many times I can check in when I'm not working...i can actually keep up with the posts. Just doing a final check in before me and my hunny put on a movie and go to bed. Everyone take care! |
Hi Everyone!
Kimpossible! Awesome on the 4.5 pounds wowowowowow!! that's great!! Super happy for you! you must be dancing :carrot: Melissa: I saw your new picture that you posted. You are looking really good, no kidding. You are thinning out, and I'm not kidding. I can see it in your face, and I can see it everywhere else too. You know what else, you look really happy, and that's the best part. Your face is beaming with pride in that picture cause you know how hard you're working :smug: Awesome. Save all the pics for later on cause when you're at your goal it will be neat to see the progression. Me, I have yet to measure myself, I can't find my tape! I need to get that done before I get too thin huh  Well this morning I weighed 3.5 pounds less than I did yesterday. Isn't that weird!? I told ya all I carry a lot of water! I am down 2 pounds from my ticker currently but I'm not going to change it in case it comes back again. It happens that way for me, I lose, gain gain lose lose, etc. Weird but true. Re the pants discussion- I used to wear jeans, but then I hated having to buy new ones as I got heavier, so I started wearing stretchy pants. not 'old lady' style but just current style stretchy pants that are made of polyester. NOW as I've lost a few pounds my pants are starting to get too long, rather than too baggy. My legs are really heavy so as they thin out little by little my legs will shrink and the length of my pants will probably grow. They were getting too clingy on me before I started this diet plan so now they are loose and more comfy. Hope everyone has a great weekend  ~ Angie |
