Gotta question

I know everybody is different, but about how many pounds do you have to lose before you notice your clothes fitting differently?

Most of my clothes are pretty loose-fitting, but I do have a pair of pants I kind of use as a gauge lol.

Just wondering!

I think I lost about 25 pounds when my 26's became looser (they were SUPER tight) and then I lost 5 more and finally went down from a 26 to a 24. And then about every 20 pounds, I went down a size until I hit non-plus sizes and now I can go down a size with every 10-15 pounds. And with every 5 pound fluctuation, my pants can get tighter or looser.

You are off to a GREAT start!!!! Keep it up and those pants will be falling off you!!!

What she said about the 26's

T-shirts are also interesting - when I first started (first attempt), XXL's were tight, when I started this time, they were comfortable.
Now, they're baggy, and XLs are tight.

I love trying on clothes that didn't use to fit, as a guide to how I'm doing.

I started at 28 (355), when I lost 25 lbs, I went to a size 26. When I lost 30 more lbs, I went to a size 24. Now I'm a comfortable size 22.

It depends on a lot of things though including who manufactures the pants. I could wear a size 22 pant in some brands when I was a 24 and I could wear a 24 in some brands when I was a 26. I'm a consistent 22 now although I'm waiting for size 20 before I start buying more pants.

NELIE - gotta tell U your hair is gorgous! I'd kill for it!

On the subject of sizes, I've lost 2 sizes by losing 50 pounds so far. I think people lose differently though - some lose more on the top, some on the bottom. I had been walking very regularly and was in a size 22, getting close to a 20 when I stopped walking. I noticed that even though my weight stayed the same for a while, when I stopped walking regularly, my pants began to get tighter. Toning has a lot to do with things.

I had a pair of 26's, and they were a little loose to begin with, but now I can't wear them without them falling off. And a belt isn't an option with those cause they're so big on me. My 24's are getting a little loose now, but nowhere near a size change loose. Oh and those are jeans :)

Well I hadn't worn a shirt of mine since I started...and I put it on at -15 pounds and you could tell it was baggy on me by some inches - a visible change. Also a pair of jeans were a tad looser on me at -15 pounds, as well.
